The Pitfalls of Black Excellence

Jemar and Tyler are back to talk about a controversial topic: Black Excellence. Is Black Excellence a helpful framework for interpreting the black community, or is it a double-edged sword that can lead us to an unhealthy form of ethnic elitism? Listen as we talk about JayZ, The Talented 10th, being “twice as good”, and black women in the Civil Rights Movement. Join us next week as we continue to pass the mic!
