The Secret To Removing The Fear Of Selling With Colin Boyd
Welcome back to episode #306! Do you ever feel hesitant to go for the sale? I'm talking, your voice starts shaking, hands start sweating...I get it! Sales has never been "my thing," but it is not only necessary for a business to survive, it is necessary to impact others. Thanks to the help of my good friend Colin Boyd, I think I have finally been able to grasp the concept that others are depending on me to sell to them! We are always on "stage" if you think about it! Whether it be a Facebook live, a local networking event or just chatting with someone you just met in a grocery store. Speaking is something we all do! And as Colin says, "speaking is selling!" And that's exactly why I am so excited to introduce you to Colin today. "I definitely haven't always been confident in that..." At minute 1:42, hear Colin's background and how selling became his thing. I ask Colin if he had a fear of selling or if it came naturally to him. "I got really clear on what I was telling myself..." At 6:24, we're talking all things mindset, how to start a conversation and what Colin has done to gain confidence. Colin is sharing his tips on how to get into the right mindset and build confidence PLUS he gives us a few sample questions to help us build up our confidence and get in the right mindset. "You always have to ask twice to get an audience response..." At minute 14:40, Colin gives us examples of what he expects when he gets on stage and how he teaches the audience to always give a response. How can we sell our stuff without felling like we or our clients aren't crossing the line. "I'm actually disrespecting their journey if they want to go deeper with me ..." At 24:24, we talk about what happens if you don't make an offer to your people after talking on stage and how selling is actually serving. Colin tells us the 3 elements to story telling and how to tell a story that helps your audience take on the belief that what you're selling is right for them.
