The true and correct answer to confronting a violent encounter starts with you and your capabilities, not reform pushed down the throats of Americans by the politically elite. The 9th Circuit recently concluded that the second amendment does not apply outside of your home. In Episode 39 I am joined by Mike Mutzel known as Metabolic Mike on Instagram. Mike earned his B.S. in Biology from Western Washington University in 2006 and completed his M.S. in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in 2015. Mike caught my attention by being very vocal about the importance of health and personal accountability during the COVID Pandemic. In a time where everyone is consumed by how we keep ourselves and others safe, it seems health is left out of the conversation altogether, even though co-morbidities seem to be the largest contributing factor to COVID related deaths. In Episode 38 I am joined by MMA Legend Ivan Salaverry. Ivan was an MMA pioneer in the Pacific Northwest with the likes of Maurice Smith, Josh Barnett, Matt Hume and Charlie Pearson. Ivan literally fought his way to the top by dominating the local scene, obtaining titles in smaller promotions and then fighting at the highest level within the UFC. Ivan is known for being one of the most accomplished martial artist in the PNW, but what’s even more impressive is his love of country and willingness to stand behind his convictions at all cost. Ivan is a Chilean Immigrant and is in disbelief of the societal decline we’ve witnessed inside the last year. His training facility (Ivan Salaverry MMA) is downtown Seattle and he’s had a front-row seat to the madness that consumed our city throughout 2020. In Episode 37 Im joined by career Special Forces solider Joe Kent. Kent and I served briefly together in 2nd Ranger Battalion before he went on to attend SFAS and become a Green Beret. Kent deployed all over the world and served in various capacities ranging from training, mentoring and direct action. Kent and his wife Shannon were both part of the Special Operations Community and she was tragically killed during an operation in Syria. With Kent suddenly becoming a single father to his 1 and 3 year old sons he decided he needed to put the military lifestyle and chase a new endeavor. Kent has decided the best way he can continue to serve his nation is by running for Congress and bringing real life experience, integrity and honor back into American Politics. I loved sitting down and catching up with Kent and plan on supporting him however I can during his new journey into politics. In Episode 34 I sit down with CPT Nick (last name withheld).  Nick is a Company Commander with the Lancer Brigade out of Ft Lewis WA. We discuss his path to becoming an Officer, leadership principles and how he has found success commanding during the COVID era. Today’s guest is Sabastian DeRosia who is the founder of the Seattle Psychedelics Society. Sebastian and I were recently acquainted through a mutual friend I found his area of expertise to be extremely interesting. Psychedelics are something that are gaining mainstream acceptance for various types of treatment ranging from post-traumatic stress, addiction and depression. This was an interesting episode as I have very little understanding of these substances but have had several friends from the military have their PTS treated with Ibogaine. We discuss Ibogaine, Ayahuasca, Kambo, LSD, mushrooms and more. This is all part of a journey of open-mindedness and finding solutions to issues that have plagued our society.
