And it touches every part of our culture, everywhere we go.Takeaways Diet culture is a system of beliefs that equates thinness with health, worthiness, and beauty. Diet culture permeates various aspects of society, including our homes, medical visits, schools, and churches. Body diversity should be celebrated, and thinness should not be equated with beauty or worthiness. Gluttony is a heart problem, not a problem of what or how much we eat. Recognizing and challenging diet culture can lead to freedom and a healthier relationship with food. ⋇Convoy of Hope - Empowering Women and Girls Together Donate here⋇Order Bianca’s new book GRIT DON’T QUIT⋇The Grit Don’t Quit Bible Study is now available. BONUS Ep 131: Five Steps To Choosing Your Word Or Phrase For The Year with Bianca Juarez Olthoff

Are you committed to starting the new year strong? In this bonus episode, I’m sharing my practice of choosing a word or phrase for the year. It's important to end the year strong and set oneself up for a strong new year.  That’s why I will be going through the five steps of choosing a word, which include evaluating the past year, thinking about what is needed in life, creating a list of words, visualizing and refining, and finally, committing to the chosen word. I share my personal example of choosing the word 'whole' for the upcoming year and encourage you to go through the process with me. Takeaways Ending the year strong is important for setting oneself up for a strong new year. Choosing a word or phrase for the year can provide clarity and direction. The five steps to choosing a word are: evaluate, think, create a list, visualize, and refine and commit. Commitment to the chosen word is crucial for the practice to be effective. BONUS Ep 129: The Power of Giving, Believing in the Impossible, Faith For Women and Girls with Bianca Olthoff

Is there a burning desire in your heart to help the less fortunate? Are you ready to sponsor women and girls around the world? I had the privilege of partnering with Convoy of Hope and being part of an event in Puerto Rico to do just that.  We were able to open up the Word of God together and speak to the potential of young girls as individuals. The girls had space and margin to write about their dreams. I too was reminded of my BIG dream: • Empower young girls and women • Give back to local communities and churches • Resource the island to become a hub for the Caribbean Even though we have not hit the goal yet, we will keep moving towards it. It is our job to believe and it is God’s job to execute it. You can still sponsor a girl for only $25 a year or the amount that God puts in your heart by visiting: convoyofhope.org/bianca Remember, your dream might seem wildly impossible and you might be disappointed that you have not reached your goal, but know that our God is able and that He is the God of the impossible.  I am grateful for the generous donations of all of you who have already sponsored a girl.
