CORRECTION: In the episode, I state that the MUFON symposium on July 13 is in Las Vegas. That is incorrect. It is in Texas. The Mutual UFO Network plans to reveal to the public materials obtained from an apparent alien craft during its annual symposium to take place in Texas July 13, 2024. However, MUFON officials report that a portion of the samples were stolen from a MUFON mailbox by a person or persons unknown. The remaining samples were tested by laboratories in Russia and in the United States, and it has been determined that 90 percent of the material is a substance the labs could not identify. A new scientific paper written by two scientists from Harvard University and another from the Montana Technological University proposes that the beings responsible for UFO and alien encounters could have been denizens of the Earth the whole time. The paper was written by Tim Lomas, psychology research scientist with Harvard’s Human Flourishing Program, Brendan Case, the associate director of research with Harvard’s Human Flourishing Program, and Michael P. Masters, a professor of biological anthropology at Montana Tech University. When Antonio La Rubia, a 33-year-old bus driver, walked out his front door after 2 a.m. on September 15, 1977, in Paciencia, Brazil, he noticed a gigantic flying saucer was on the ground in a nearby field.
