#11 How to manage your summer glut
Yep it't that time of the year. Zucchini's are seemly growing a centimetre per minute. You have successfully grown an abundance of vegetables.
Now what? There are so many you can't possibly eat them all, or even give them away fast enough. This our friends is the Summer veggie Glut. It happens to even the best garden planner.
But the question is what to do with it all? Here is our take on how to minimise the glut (waste) and eat/preserve your produce in various ways to make the most of the glut. Enjoy!

#10 Native Stingless Bees with Steve Maginnity
Ever wondered about Native bees? Well this week we dive into Native Bees with Steve an expert in the field.
He tells us about Native Stingless Bees, what they need, how to care for them, why he loves them and so much more.
We were surprised to know they seemed so much easier than European honey bees to keep and we are both going to be buying hives in the near future.
Spoiler alert!! Jo did the course she bought for her husband. (Not what I planned but life changed and I couldn't say no). Next season we will be welcoming home a few hives of our own.

#9 Ethics - People Care
This week we chat about People Care. Looking after self, kin and community. If people’s needs are met in compassionate and simple ways, the environment surrounding them will prosper.
We talk about "what is zone 00", how to care for yourself, how to look after your family unit and how looking after the wider community fits into Permaculture Ethics.

#7 Ethic - Earth Care
This week we take a look at what Earth care is about. The Earth is a living, breathing entity. Without ongoing care and nurturing there will be consequences too big to ignore. How can we care for the earth, soil and ecosystems to live this ethic daily?

We are SUPER excited to bring you this chat as Brett is the whole reason we are here right now. Through his course we met, connected and decided to start this podcast.

We also talk about Jo and Brett's love for Turkeys, pitfalls of being a 'purist', our favourite books, resources we love, plus so much more. In this is a whopper of an episode we touch on transitioning from traditional work to relying on your business, people claiming “that’s not permaculture”, PDC and teacher training, Permaculture at the Pub, social permaculture, looking outside permaculture for inspiration, motherhood and permaculture, education and courses plus so much more.

#2 Our Permie Lens
This week is just you and us having a chat. We are talking about what permaculture is for us and how our our understanding of it all is changing and developing as we apply the ethics and principles to our lives, homes and gardens.
Warning and disclaimer: If you are a permie purest this episode will make you cringe. We are not here to educate.... what we want is to inspire you to follow your path into permaculture, what ever that looks like. We are just here to create space for super cool conversations to start.
Hope you enjoy. xx
