Giles Alderson sits down with Director and screenwriter John Hay & producer Donall McCusker to discuss their latest film 'To Olivia', now on Sky, which is the story of the tumultuous marriage between actress Patricia Neal and renowned writer Roald Dahl. This week Giles Alderson chats with Adam Leader, Richard Oakes & Neal Ward about their wonderful feature film ‘Hosts’. Which is a fantastic, home invasion, horror thriller with elements of sci-fi. It has already got to the top of the charts and it’s an incredible journey. Adam Leader & Richard Oakes directed the movie, they also produced it. Adam wrote it and Richard was the cinematographer. Neil is the star of the movie and he’s also been in features film such as ’Two Graves’ & ’24 Little Hours’. Two superb indie films.So on today’s episode we talk about how having great visual and SFX is vital for a home invasion, gory, sci-fi. They talk about how they produced, shot & wrote the movie and directed together. We also talk about networking and how hard it can be for crew but how important it is for a filmmaker. We also talk about their YouTube channel, DarkFableMedia because that is the place where they asked people to invest in their film and made all of this possible. Directors Aaron Moorhead & Justin Benson chat to Giles Alderson and Robbie McKane about their feature film 'Synchronic', a mind-altering, sci-fi thriller, horror starring Hollywood stars Jamie Dornan (The Fall, Fifty Shades of Grey franchise) and Anthony Mackie (The Avengers franchise, Detroit) as two New Orleans paramedics who encounter a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug.On this episode we talk about co-directing and how they managed multiple jobs, including Aaron as a cinematographer, Justin who wrote the screenplay and producing together.
