#55: Write Your Own Story with Tucker Max

Today on the show we’re talking with Tucker Max, founder and former CEO of Scribe Media. We discuss the importance of believing in the skills that you have, and knowing how to use them effectively. We talk about how Tucker was fired from his family business when his dad valued loyalty over good work. Writing a book is not an easy thing to do, especially when you’re someone who is busy and don’t have a lot of time to work on it. That’s where Scribe Media comes into play, they help identify what the book will be about, and how to get it written with the least friction. Scribe has 3 questions you need to answer to create a great book: ‘What do you want?’, ‘Who are you trying to serve?’, and ‘What do you have to say that matters to those people?’. Authenticity is hard to come by, and when employees, investors, or co-workers see that you are being honest and forward with them, that incurs a lot of respect. Tune in to hear how Tucker Max turned authenticity into success! #UnderdogBites: Bend Don't Break

Today on the show Jayson talks about being able to bend, but not break. To be able to take the hits with the wins. He discusses how making mistakes will teach you so much more than any of your successes will. You have a 100% survival rate on this Earth, you have gotten through every trouble you’ve ever had, you’re here! Rather than wallowing in the failures and mistakes that you’ve made, focus on getting yourself better, start working out, start learning something new, keep your mind busy and challenge yourself every single day! You will work yourself out of a rut in no time. There are lions and there are sheep, the lions don’t have to be entrepreneurs, or millionaires, or thought leaders. It’s someone who loves what they do and has passion every day. Those that are great, are no different than the average person, it’s just the mindset that they have in the morning, and when they go to sleep. Always grind, always stay positive, and strive to inspire yourself and the people around you. That’s success.   Links:    Follow True Underdog on IG: www.instagram.com/true_underdog Reach out to Jayson directly at jayson@trueunderdog.com Follow Jayson on Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jayson-waller-/ Follow Jayson on Instagram: www.instagram.com/jaysonwallerbam Check out our website to meet the team, view show notes and transcripts: www.trueunderdog.com Apply for a chance to receive a $10,000 business grant: https://trueunderdog.com/underdog-achievers-program/   Timestamps:   1:16 - What Are Your Going to Do About It 2:08 - There Is No Top Floor 4:24 - Tough Mentality 5:59 - Never Easy 8:00 - Inspiring the People Around You 10:15 - Business Is Black and White 12:18 - Take Control 14:02 - Keeping Yourself Aligned 16:43 - Utilize What You Learn 18:49 - Use Your Problems as Motivation Learn more about your ad choices.
