Donald Hoffman: Is Reality An Illusion? Interface Theory of Perception & Conscious Realism
Donald Hoffman is Professor Emeritus of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. He earned his BA from the University of California, Los Angeles in Quantitative Psychology, and received his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Computational Psychology. He is an author of over 120 scientific papers and three books, including “The Case Against Reality: Why Evolution Hid the Truth from Our Eyes.” (2019). He has a TED Talk titled “Do We See Reality as It Is?". In addition to his positions at UC Irvine, Hoffman has been a guest lecturer at the Zentrum für interdisziplinäre Forschung at Universität Bielefeld in Germany (The Center for Interdisciplinary Research at Bielefeld University). He has received awards from the American Psychological Association, the National Academy of Sciences, the Chopra Foundation, and from the students of UC Irvine. Hoffman has also been awarded grants from the National Science Foundation, the Alzheimer’s Foundation, the Faggin Foundation, the Office of Naval Research and the Department of Defence.

Michael Levin: What Is Bioelectrical Intelligence? Technological Approach To Minds Everywhere
Michael Levin is a Distinguished Professor in the Biology department at Tufts University. He holds the Vannevar Bush endowed Chair and serves as director of the Allen Discovery Center at Tufts and the Tufts Center for Regenerative and Developmental Biology. He attended Tufts University, interested in artificial intelligence and unconventional computation. To explore the algorithms by which the biological world implemented complex adaptive behavior, he got dual B.S. degrees, in CS and in Biology and then received a PhD from Harvard University. He did post-doctoral training at Harvard, where he began to uncover a new bioelectric language by which cells coordinate their activity during embryogenesis.

Patricia Churchland: Why Do We Have A Conscience? Moral Intuition & Eliminative Materialism
Patricia Churchland is Professor Emerita of Philosophy at the University of California, San Diego and an Adjunct Professor at the Salk Institute. She holds degrees from Oxford University, the University of Pittsburg and the University of British Columbia. She has contributed to the fields of philosophy of neuroscience, philosophy of the mind and neuroethics. Her research has centered on the interface between neuroscience and philosophy with a current focus on the association of morality and the social brain. She has been awarded the MacArthur Prize, The Rossi Prize for Neuroscience and the Prose Prize for Science. She has authored multiple pioneering books has has served as President of the American Philosophical Association and the Society for Philosophy and Psychology.

He is a clinical psychiatrist at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Canada and a psycho-oncology consultant at the Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto. Menachem Fisch: Is Science Limited? Understanding Normativity & Moving Away from Scientism
Menachem Fisch is Joseph and Ceil Mazer Professor Emeritus of History and Philosophy of Science, and Director of the Center for Religious and Interreligious Studies at Tel Aviv University, and Senior Fellow of the Goethe University Frankfurt's Forschungskolleg Humanwisseschaften, Bad Homburg. He has published widely on the history of 19th century British science and mathematics, on confirmation theory and rationality, on the theology of the talmudic literature, and the philosophy of talmudic legal reasoning. His recent work explores the limits of normative self-criticism, the Talmud's dispute of religiosity, the possibilities of articulating a pluralist political philosophy from within the assumptions of halakhic Judaism, the history and philosophy of scientific framework transitions, and the theo-political roots of Israel's reaction against political Zionism.

Risto Miikkulainen: What are "Other" Minds? Neuroevoloution of Past, Present & Future Minds
Risto Miikkulainen is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin and AVP of Evolutionary Intelligence at Cognizant AI Labs. He received an M.S. in Engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology (now Aalto University) in 1986, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA in 1990. His current research focuses on methods and applications of neuroevolution, evolutionary computation, machine learning, cognitive science as well as neural network models of natural language processing and vision; he is an author of over 450 articles in these research areas. In 2016, he was named Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) for contributions to techniques and applications for neural and evolutionary computation.

Raymond Tallis: Are We Destined for Freedom? A Case for Compatibilism & Ontological Agnosticism
Raymond Tallis is Professor Emeritus of Geriatric Medicine at the University of Manchester. He is a philosopher, poet, novelist, cultural critic, and a retired physician and clinical neuroscientist. He trained in medicine at Oxford University and at St Thomas’ in London and has 4 honorary degrees: DLitt (Hull, 1997) and Litt.D. (Manchester, 2001) for contributions to the humanities; and DSc (St George’s Hospital Medical School, 2015; University of East Anglia, 2017) for contributions to medicine. He was an editor and major contributor to two key textbooks in the field, The Clinical Neurology of Old Age and Textbook of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology and author of over 200 original scientific articles, including papers in Nature Medicine, Brain, Lancet. He has published fiction, poetry, and over 30 books on the philosophy of mind, metaphysics, philosophical anthropology, and literary and cultural criticism. Some of his works include: Aping Mankind (2010), Of Time and Lamentation. Reflections on Transience (2017; 2019), An Essay on the Mystery of the Sense-Making Animal (2018), Sunburst (2019), Seeing Ourselves. Reclaiming Humanity from God and Science (2020) and Freedom: An Impossible Reality (2021).
