Don’t interrupt family time with business, keep your emails and work tasks for work hours. Starting off in investing Devin recommends having a mentor is the way to go for your first deal, just to have someone guide you through. During his first investment he lived by BRRRR: Buy, Renovate, Refinance, Rent, Repeat. No new ideas, is another great phrase to live by! Investors are successful for the same reason, so follow suit, make the jump and prosper.  During his first investment looking back now, Devin wishes he had a better understanding of syndication models though, he wouldn’t change anything, he has no regrets!
