Josh Cohen is a lifetime serial entrepreneur. He knew it from the time he first started toying with computer programs in high school. Josh spent many years working at a top research facility as an electronics engineer and later a program manager solving complex technical problems. During this time, he found another passion in life in real estate investment. In 2009, he started renovating houses on the side. Buying fixer upper houses using private money became a passion. In 2014, he founded a new company DC First Properties and made the plunge to full time investor. Today as President of DC First Properties headquartered in Falls Church City, VA; he leads a team that focuses on buying older houses in the DC metro region for re-development and creating a niche new home product known as “affordable luxury”. Meetu Bhatnagar, Ph.D. is a syndicator, asset manager, investor, and business owner. She is also a Certified Commercial Real Estate Professional licensed in Texas, currently with Coldwell Banker Commercial and have completed CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment member) education. She started her early career in Medical Research and as an Associate Professor. She did consultation for some time and then pursued her passion to be an Entrepreneur. They did acquisition of a Pre-School licensed for 200 kids and successfully turned it around. They implemented the same strategy as in multifamily business. They did acquisition of a value-add business along with real estate, upgraded the building, bring in better resources, new FF&E and better systems that significantly increased their revenue. They were responsible for managing a team of about 30 employees (3 managers & 27 Teachers). They started investing in real estate in 2010. Currently, they have invested in about 800 doors. She is a co-sponsor and asset manager in portfolio of 40-million-dollar deal of 418 apartments units in one of the most favorable sub-market of DFW metroplex. Brian Miller has been living in China for the past 10 years. He previously worked for one of the largest Chinese government owned manufacturers managing their North American Export operations. He now runs a 3rd party logistics warehouse in Shenzhen China called EasyChinaWarehouse.com. The company provides 3rd party logistics and shipping for Amazon FBA sellers and any ecommerce company creating products in China. When Jake Nicks was 20, he was homeless. He came from a family that didn’t make any money and had what he calls ‘a poverty mindset.’ Jake thought he could only be successful if he went to college. He was living on his own because he didn’t have the opportunity to go back home with his parents. It was a period of seven months living in his car, and his number one thought of escaping from this situation was, “I can become more than this.” And he knew that if he could change his thinking, he could change his life.
