WWE: Roman Reigns' absence wastes momentum, tag team title unification

WWE put all its eggs in Roman Reigns' basket by making him the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion ... and then wasted the momentum from the Biggest WrestleMania Match Ever without a strong enough follow up. The guys also break down the continuation of Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins plus the involvement of Kevin Owens. Next, "The Silver King" and "Vintage" dive into The Good, The Bad and The Ugly from the week [26:00], including the RK-Bro vs. The Usos tag team championship unification plans, Drew Gulak getting Charlotte Flair over, Rhea Ripley's expected heel turn, Theory's expected United States championship win, a legitimate push for Ricochet, Edge and Damian Priest taking a step forward, and early problems with the debuts and reintroductions of GUNTHER, Veer Mahan, Tommaso Ciampa, Raquel Rodriguez and Lacey Evans. WWE: Cody Rhodes' early booking, Roman Reigns' problem, NXT call ups

With WrestleMania 38 now a full week in the rear-view mirror, WWE has entered rematch mode for WrestleMania Backlash. Three of the five biggest storylines are continuing unabated while WWE simultaneously tries to refresh other areas of its product. Host Adam Silverstein opens with The Main Event [8:00] where a surprising lack of coronation for the undisputed WWE universal champion Roman Reigns is questioned as is the potential of also unifying the tag team championships. Cody Rhodes continues to receive massive reactions on Raw, and while a Seth Rollins rematch is fine, it may speak to early booking concerns. Next up is The Good, The Bad and The Ugly [22:00] where "The Silver King" dives into Ronda Rousey's lack of juice, a surprising challenger for Bianca Belair, Edge's new group getting off to a rough start, poor booking of Liv Morgan, and NXT call ups for GUNTHER, Ludvig Kaiser, Raquel Rodriguez and Tommaso Ciampa, plus everything else from SmackDown and Raw.
