Spencer and Vogue, lamb and cheesy hasselback potatoes

In the final episode of season two, it’s a family affair at DISH HQ with Spencer, Vogue and baby Otto. Angela and Nick host two stars that risked life and limb on reality tv. Now married, these two entrepreneurs have three kids and several podcasts between them: Spencer & Vogue, My Therapist Ghosted Me and 6 Degrees with Jamie and Spencer. Vogue also has her own fake tan range, Bare by Vogue while Spencer has his own low ABV spirits company, CleanCo, available at Waitrose. Angela cooks some lamb to perfection and makes some tasty cheesy hasselback potatoes, a recipe devised by Waitrose in conjunction with Zaina, 19, as part of the Create not Hate programme*. Spencer and Vogue talk about parenting, their pet peeves and, to satisfy their competitive nature, Nick treats the couple (and us) to a game of Mr. & Mrs.! *Create Not Hate has partnered with Waitrose and John Lewis to continue with their mission to improve access to the creative industry for young people from a range of diverse backgrounds, who may not have considered a career in the industry or could use support to get started with their career. Nick and Angela will be back in early April with brand new episodes of DISH. Please keep your dilemmas coming to dish@waitrose.co.uk and Angela will try and answer them on season three. Phil Wang, beef & broccoli noodles and a beer

Nick and Angela welcome British-Malaysian comic Phil Wang. While studying Engineering at Cambridge, Phil got a sniff of stand-up comedy and was hooked. In 2010 and 2011, he was voted funniest student in the UK and the MBA his mother had always dreamed of, was no longer on the table. Phil has mastered all mediums, with Netflix specials and comedy panel shows like Taskmaster and Have I Got News For You under his belt. He has written a book, Sidesplitter: How to Be from Two Worlds at Once and has also made us laugh aurally, with programmes on BBC Radio 4 and a podcast series called BudPod with fellow comedian Pierre Novellie. Wang In There, Baby, is Phil’s brand new tour, hitting the UK and Ireland in March. Infamous for rating local Asian restaurants on twitter while on tour, Phil keeps Angela on her toes as she carefully prepares some spicy beef and broccoli noodles. Nick pairs the dish with a lager, Birra Moretti. As series two of DISH draws to a close, this penultimate episode is FULL of laughs! Phil pitches what he believes is the best meal of the day, Nick shares what Jennifer Saunders once said to him backstage and Angela confesses that she cannot be trusted with your kitchen appliances. Poppy O’Toole, a smoked aubergine salad and an English sparkling wine

Nick and Angela welcome young British chef and Potato Queen, Poppy O’Toole. Michelin-trained internet sensation Poppy Cooks went viral last year and rose to culinary fame when she began posting easy-to-follow recipes on TikTok, including the infamous 15 hour potato. Poppy creates easy-to-follow tutorials which have amassed 300 million views on her channels since April 2020, when she lost her job due to the pandemic. Her debut cookbook Poppy Cooks: The Food You Need, breaks down her fine-dining roots and reimagines them in kitchens at home. In 2022, Poppy was a judge on E4’s show Celebrity Cooking School alongside Giorgio Locatelli and she is currently the newest judge of BBC Three's Young MasterChef, alongside Kerth Gumbs. Poppy and Angela have more than Chef whites in common. They trekked Peru together raising more than £250,000 for Action Against Hunger in 2022. Angela prepares a light and creamy, smoked aubergine, freekeh & pomegranate salad, with flatbreads. Nick pairs the dish with a citrusy English sparkling wine. Poppy shares the many ways she loves to eat the humble potato, how she manifested her MasterChef dream and what she said when she met her hero, Jamie Oliver. Vernon Kay, steak & mushroom stroganoff and a malbec

Nick and Angela welcome presenter and proud Northerner, Vernon Kay. Grimmy and Vernon first met when they presented T4 together back in their TV heydays, and later found themselves on back-to-back, on Saturday mornings on BBC Radio 1 - very challenging time slots for their active social lives.  Vernon Kay is best known for iconic TV shows including All Star Family Fortunes, Just the Two of Us and Splash. In 2020 he appeared on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, and recently has been covering on This Morning alongside Rochelle Humes. He has switched early morning radio for a late-night show, Dance Sounds of the 90s on BBC Radio 2 and regularly covers Zoe Ball’s breakfast show, where he interviewed Nick and Angela when they launched Dish back in June. He is a big red meat fan, so Angela prepares a rich and creamy steak stroganoff, with a mushroom and onion sauce. Nick pours the wine, a delicate Gaia Organic Malbec. In this episode, we hear about Vernon’s glory days as a model, his pro tips for barbecuing with your mates, and how he managed to sneak a burner phone into I’m A Celeb! Annie MacManus, a vodka martini and scallops with lemon butter

Nick and Angela welcome DJ, broadcaster, author and one of Nick’s superstar friends, Annie MacManus. Annie is a force in the music industry. For seventeen years, she was a pillar of BBC Radio, dedicating each show to championing the best in new music on programmes like Radio 1's Future Sounds, Dance Party and, of course, her Sunday evening show with Grimmy - simply called Nick Grimshaw and Annie Mac. She runs the festival Lost & Found in Malta, and in early 2022, Annie launched her Before Midnight club night, with the aim of providing a more accessible clubbing experience for those who prefer an early night. In 2021, she released her debut novel, the Sunday Times Bestseller Mother Mother, to critical acclaim. Her next novel, The Mess We’re in is out in May 2023, and has roots in her own life story. Annie produces her own podcast, Changes with Annie Macmanus, which provides a perfect platform for the trio to discuss their 2023 resolutions. Grimmy serves vodka martinis and Angela prepares a recipe from Nathan Outlaw: scallops with ginger-spiced lemon butter and a side of pickled carrots, paired with a Waitrose Blanc de Noirs Champagne. Nick and Annie reminisce about their wild radio days, Angela exposes Annie’s questionable culinary skills and Annie shares what it’s like to be a mum to two small boys - doing all of the above... Alison Hammond & Dermot O’Leary and a Christmas grazing platter

Nick and Angela welcome their favourite TV duo to Casa Grimshaw. From humble beginnings flipping burgers at Wembley stadium, Dermot O’Leary is now one of the biggest names in UK television. He began on T4, then played Big Brother’s Little Brother before The X Factor came knocking. Other presenting highlights include fronting the National Television Awards for the last ten years and Soccer Aid and the Baftas too. Not confined to one medium, Dermot's dulcet tones can be heard on BBC Radio 2 on Saturday mornings and on his podcast, People just People, available on audible. In 2002, Alison Hammond had a sliding doors moment: enter the Big Brother house or be a contestant on Cilla Black’s Blind Date. Alison chose reality TV and from there, became a household name. Her rise to fame includes appearances on Strictly, Celebrity MasterChef and I’m a Celebrity....Get Me Out of Here! She has recently published her memoir, You’ve Got To Laugh: Stories from a Life Lived to the Full. Hugh Bonneville, Champagne, and Christmas dinner

Beloved British actor and now author, Hugh Bonneville visits Nick and Angela at casa Grimshaw. Hugh has appeared in many iconic films opposite some of the greats of Hollywood, Notting Hill with Julia Roberts, Iris with Judi Dench, The Monuments Men with George Clooney, and the Paddington movies with everyone’s favourite bear. He’s equally celebrated for his portrayal of Robert Crawley in TV drama Downton Abbey and its film adaptations, for which he received Golden Globe nominations, two Emmys and the cast won three SAG Awards for Outstanding Ensemble in a Drama Series. Hugh recently published his debut memoir, Playing Under the Piano: From Downton to Darkest Peru. It’s fair to say that Mr Bonneville rather hit the jackpot, as Angela Hartnett prepares Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. The special occasion calls for oysters and Champagne to start. Followed by a rosemary & black pepper brined wing rib of beef, flanked by sticky pigs in blankets, gratin dauphinois, maple-roast parsnips and carrots, brussels sprouts with pancetta and a red cabbage slaw. All paired with a delicate Muga Selección Especial Reserva and Angela’s special tiramisu for dessert.  In this episode, Angela shares her incredible gravy recipe, Nick expresses his guilt about eating in front of the crew and Hugh tells some hilarious audition anecdotes and how he discovered his mother was a spy. There were no marmalade sandwiches on the menu, but plenty of love for Paddington, who sadly had to decline the invitation.
