Making The Leap
Herzog Foundation
Making The Leap is a weekly podcast hosted by Christine and Chris Stigall. The Stigalls recently made the leap to Christian education, pulling their daughter out of a public school and sending her to a private Christian school. The Stigalls want to empower other families to choose the school that’s best for them and break free from the status quo. They speak with society experts, educators, legislators, psychologists, and other parents to uncover the hidden truths in education and lay the groundwork for change. Continuing Christian Education in Trades or Business? It's Happening!
The old, conventional wisdom of K-12 kids graduating then heading off to acquire expensive degrees from four-year institutions has proven unnecessary for many students. The trades are begging for young people to join their ranks for great salaries and benefits from an early age. Jobs that will likely pay far more than the careers of their debt-laden, four-year graduate counterparts. What about those who not only want to get into trades, but own their own business in the trades? The Stigalls are joined by the President of Tarkio Technical College where they've implemented a brand new, faith-based curriculum to teach technical college students the finer points of operating their own business through Biblical principles. This conversation is sure to reframe your thinking about traditional, four-year higher education.Follow Tarkio Technical College on Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube.Follow Making the Leap on Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube. Do You Know What D.E.I. Really Means?
Tabia Lee, former DEI director, discusses the dangers of radicalization and anti-Semitism in DEI initiatives. The podcast explores the lack of clear definition for DEI and its impact on elevating certain groups while marginalizing others. It emphasizes the importance of transparency and questioning perspectives pushed through DEI positions in schools. The chapter also examines the irony of undoing perceived damage while creating new problems and critiques the notion of DEI, including the belief of white as oppressor and the need to condemn anti-Semitism.

Can a Secular College Erase Your Child's Christ-Focused Upbringing? Ft. Samantha Seal
You've gone out of your way, sometimes at great personal sacrifice to make sure your child's K-12 education is Christ-focused. But then he or she decides their college of choice is the furthest thing away from a Christ-centered environment. Should you fight them on the decision? How do you know your child is spiritually ready? Can your child's entire education be erased on a four-year, secular college campus experience? Today's guest was raised and taught in a K-12 Christian school setting but decided her college destination was the University of Texas-Austin. Hear how she navigated and worked through a decidedly different cultural and spiritual environment to reach graduation and how she continues to be challenged in her first professional experiences in Washington D.C. politics. Christians Standing Tall: High School Football to Hollywood
