Ep 070 - Empower your kids with G.O.A.L.S.

One of the recurring questions/concerns from parents has to do with teaching kids life skills to prioritize their time with school, extra circulars, homework.   Not only are kids overworked and over-scheduled, they often lack important life skills which result in  Anxiety Frustration Stress   On today’s episode Erika and I talk about  our G.O.A.L. S. program which stands for: Get Organized! Academic & Life Strategies  It’s a 45 min seminar focusing on The importance of maintaining a clutter-free workspace How to utilize calendar, apps, to-do lists prioritize time Maximizing your peak productivity time   At the conclusion of the seminar, students should have a solid foundation that they can build upon, based on their own individual styles.   If you are interested in bringing the G.O.A.L.S. program to your school, feel free to email info@simplyborganized.com with G.O.A.L.S. in the subject line.   DID YOU KNOW?  The more reviews & downloads I get, the easier it is for other people to find us-crazy, right!   I am so appreciative of anyone who takes a moment to help the growth of our show by subscribing and leaving a review.    You can always connect with me:  Website  |  Facebook | Twitter  |  Instagram | Email or join our facebook group called This ORGANIZED Life.

Ep 069 - Focus on the WHY

On today’s episode, Erika and I talk about the emotional strongholds that prevent you from  decluttering & organizing. There is so much emphasis on how to implement change, but without getting to the root of why you feel compelled to hold onto that sweater, or that visa bill from 1999, you’ll continue the cycle of frustration, anxiety and feeling overwhelmed.    Getting to the origin of any problem is what influences lasting change. It’s the difference between treating the symptom verses identifying the source.  We talk about the 5 W’s WHO gave it to me? WHAT purpose is it serving? WHERE am I using/wearing it? WHEN am I going to use/wear it? WHY am I keeping it?   For more information on emotional clutter, check out my book HOT MESS: A Practical Guide to Getting Organized available on amazon, barnes & noble or wherever books are sold.
