Our 100th Episode!!!
Today is a HUGE milestone for This ORGANIZED Life! We are celebrating our 100th episode! To be honest, when I embarked on this venture,I had no clue how to structure a show, book a guest, or put together "show notes" (seriously, I was clueless), but somehow by the grace of God ( and some help from my producer), I figured it out. Fast forward to almost 2 years later, and here we are....EPISODE 100. Leading up to todays show, I gave my trusty side-kick, Erika, some homework: To go through the archives and pick her top 5 favorite episodes. Without comparing, we both revealed our list on air. I encourage you to join us in our walk down memory lane, in this historic episode: If you liked this episode will you take a moment to share it? Ep 098: Creating a Capsule Wardrobe with special guest, Courtney Carver (part 1)
Today we are joined by Courtney Carver: Author, Speaker and founder of the fashion Project 333 & the popular blog, Be More With Less.com. Courtney changed her life by simplifying it after a devastating diagnosis in 2006. I read Courtney's book Soulful Simplicity this past summer and was completely inspired to rethink what lives inside my closet. I reached out to see if she would share her story with all of you. In part one of our conversation, Courtney talks candidly about how she was living the "American Dream," or so she thought, until a life threatening health scare began her journey to finding freedom with less. Ep 096: Fall Organizing Tips with special guest, Kristi Santilli
On today's show we are joined by fellow Organizer and SBO Partner, Kristi Santilli, founder of Organized by Kristi in Massachusetts. We chat about how/when to flip out and store seasonal items (a real issue for us in the North East!) Kristi had so many ideas we ran out of time to share them all! In addition to the one's mentioned in our episode, here's a few more tips for you to try: 1. Have a spot in your home for taking off wet, snowy clothes! Whether it be in your entry way, basement, garage or laundry room, designate a spot for everyone to remove their wet clothes and hang them up to dry 2. Put down a few boot trays or old towels so that they can absorb the drips. This is a must so that you don't have puddles of snow, salt and slush all around your house! 3. Have a supply of hot cocoa on hand for wintery, snowy days! (Ok, so this isn't so much of Kristi's tip, but her 7 year old son's idea!)
