#225 Consolidating the knowledge: How to integrate meditation into your life and use it for spiritual and personal development.
On my ongoing personal development journey, on Thursday's episodes, I now focus on consolidation. Repetition is the mother of all learning, they say. So instead of adding more knowledge, I revisit the previous episodes and consolidate the wisdom imparted by my guests. I intend to distil and share this wisdom with you in a way that you’ll find something that clicks, something that inspires you to take action as a result. Today the topic is meditation. For me, meditation has been one of the cornerstones of personal development and it’s one of the “daily habits” that I never miss. What are the effects of meditation? How can we integrate it into our lives? What about those moments of “spiritual awakening”? How can modern technology help with practising meditation? At the end of the episode, you can experience a unique 8-minute short meditation with a shamanic drum! I revisit 4 of the previous episodes and share the wisdom of my guests: Chess Edwards (#081), Tiffany Nguyen (#135), Dan Clark (#130), and Eirini Kapsidou (#065). ݆ 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: * How, little by little, each meditation awakens us * Having “spiritual awakening” moments * The meditation of self-enquiry, designed to help one come into the knowing of the truth of their eternal nature * How can an app help experienced meditators slip into deep meditation quicker? * Listen (and experience) a unique 8-minute short shamanic drumming meditation. (Timestamp: 19:52) ݆ 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲:Would you like to be able to slip into a deep meditative state quicker? An amazing app called Brain FM can help you do exactly that. #222 From burglar to Buddha, the personas we identify with, and the precious gift of life to be revered, with Simon Paul Sutton.
Simon Paul Sutton recently released his autobiography book called Burglar to Buddha: transforming from the inside out. When I asked Simon to send me a short bio to use when I introduce him, instead he asked me to introduce him in the way that I perceive him. This is an interesting and also challenging concept. So here are some words that come to my mind when I think of Simon Paul Sutton: Exuberant, overflowing energy, divine being, passionate, transparent, sovereignty, and Gaianet. I will add to that the description from Simon's book so you can understand what to expect from this conversation: Burglar to Buddha, from an unconscious life of crime and drugs driven by fear, to a conscious life of awareness, living high on love and truth in service to that which is greater than you - from crime to the divine. I hope you find the conversation as inspiring as I did. ݆ 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: * Exhilarating addiction to adrenaline, and getting to “taste death” * The persona and identifying ourselves as that character * Celebrate this precious gift of life to be revered! * Conversations like mirrors that reflect aspects of ourselves * Transparency: am I being truthful to what I feel inside of me? * Celebrate my divinity and support others to realise their divinity ݆ 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲: “Learning other languages I feel would have expanded my potential to understand the human condition.“-Simon Paul Sutton ݆ 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀: Website: https://simontransparently.com/ Telegram: @Simontransparently Do you sometimes have trouble getting your brain to focus and concentrate on the important task in front of you?
