71. How To Find The Power to Eliminate Your Limiting Beliefs with Shelly Lefkoe

Your beliefs create your reality. Yup — it’s true. So those crappy, negative, or limiting ones you have? You might not even realize it, but they're holding you back. Often they start in your childhood and stagnate in your subconscious. And for all your mamas out there, you might even be passing them on to your kiddos, too.  But what if you could eliminate them? The problem most people face with overcoming limiting beliefs is they try to change how they feel and behave. But usually, they end up right back where they started. Whether it's going to the gym, changing bad habits, or rising above doubts and fears, most of what people do works in the short term but fails long run.  Well, that’s about to change, Brave Table fam. Her clients have been able to eliminate emotional patterns such as fear, hostility, shyness, anxiety, depression, worry about what people think of them, and a negative sense of themselves. This work has made her an expert on how to raise healthy, successful children who are free of limiting beliefs.  Here’s what we get into…  - How your beliefs get formed and how they impact your life - The reason why you hold on to your beliefs about yourself   - How your culture and upbringing affect your parenting style - The difference between a pattern and a belief - How we apply meaning to events that happen in our lives - Practices to use when you have a negative emotion - And so much more juicy goodness!Make sure you also check out… - Shelly’s exclusive gift to The Brave Table audience — eliminate a belief for free at eliminatebeliefs.com - Shelly’s websites at lefkoeinstitute.com and parentingthelefkoeway.com and her course for parents: Empowering the Next Generation  - Morty Lefkoe’s TedTalk How To Stop Suffering - You’ll also love this episode with Dorota Stańczyk: Radical Acceptance, Letting Go of Your Desires and (Re)Creating Yourself - And this one with Daniela Woerner: Navigating Divorce, Grief, Loss, & Motherhood Before you go… Make sure you enter The Brave Table Back-to-School Giveaway! 70. How To Be Brave in Creating Deep Friendships and Meaningful Support Circles with Dr. Neeta Bhushan

Do you struggle with friendships? If so, you're not alone. It's one of the most common challenges I hear from people. Life gets so busy that you don't get to spend quality time with those you love. Or you recognize how much you've grown, and the company you keep hasn't. Maybe you're just sick of the status quo, shooting the same old sh*t, gossiping, going to restaurants, and you're looking for ways to connect more meaningfully with others.  One of my superpowers is cultivating community and deep friendships. This goes back to when my mom passed away, and I turned to my loved ones to help me get through it. In this unapologetic season of my life, it looks like planning trips and throwing events that WOW people and leave them feeling connected—like when I planned a trip for 16 of my closest friends this summer to Turkey or a few weekends ago celebrating my 40th birthday with my bestie! Whatever season of life you're in, your friends should reflect it. Let's explore how you can create deep friendships and meaningful support circles as a part of your growth and evolution.   Here’s what we get into in this episode…  - How to use my free Intention Setting Planner to elevate your life with your friends, your partner, your family, your colleagues, and yourself for the rest of 2022 - My 4-step framework for cultivating deep friendships - Practical tools and rituals you can use to strengthen your connections and friendships today - How to create a container where you can share your gifts - Planning experiential events for you and your loved ones - And much more! 69. Yoga Psychology, The Mind-Body Connection, and Examining Trauma Through the Energetic Body with Ashley Turner

Achieving optimal health goes well beyond how we treat our physical bodies. Of course, a good diet and movement are still crucial pillars of well-being, but just as vital is taking care of your emotional and mental health. There’s a feedback loop between the physical and emotional bodies, known as the mind-body connection. It shows that we can’t address one area of our health without impacting another—it’s all connected.  My guest in this episode of The Brave Table, Ashley Turner, has built her life’s work around this concept. She’s married her love of yoga with the science of psychology as a tool to empower others to release past traumas and overcome their shadows so they can heal and thrive.   Ashley is a yoga–meditation expert, Licensed Psychotherapist, speaker, writer, facilitator, and 7-figure entrepreneur. Her mission is to integrate yoga and meditation into the mainstream medical and educational systems by training highly-skilled professionals and helping them build fulfilling, highly profitable businesses. She is the founder and CEO of The Center for Yoga Psychology – an innovative, scientifically grounded training center for yoga teachers, mental health clinicians, and students fusing yoga, mindfulness, trauma resolution, shadow work, and neuroscience.  Here’s a taste of what we get into in this episode… - Ashley’s 4-step model for doing shadow work in relationships & deal with your projections - What is the chakra system, and what can it tell you about where your store emotions? - How emotional traumas show up as behaviors and patterns and modalities to heal them - What is shadow work, and how to do it with the relationships in your life - The way your inner state of well-being shapes what you experience in the world  If you loved this episode, make sure you check out…  - Learn more at www.Yoga-Psychology.co or follow Ashley on Instagram at @AshleyTurner1 - Embracing the Duality of our Emotions and Normalizing Emotional Health - Understanding Love & Conflict Resolution With Your Partner with Annie Lalla  - Being in Alignment With Yourself with Aaron Alexander - How To Move, Connect, Play, and Cultivate Trust With Acroyoga with Jason Nemer Don’t forget to take my super fun and quick Bounce Factor quiz to determine your audacious resiliency during tough and intense life moments at bouncefactorquiz.com. How do you handle life when things don’t go your way? Whether with your significant other, a friend, or while working on a project—when it all goes to sh*t, what's your initial reaction? Do you withdraw or go into victim mode and say, "why me"?
