On Wednesday’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett, the Go-2-Guy has the day off so Puck welcomes Tim Booth and Adam Jude from the Seattle Times to join his weekly guest, Ryan Divish, who is taking a sabbatical from covering the team to coach his stepsons travel ball team, to breakdown the first half of the Mariners season. Puck opens up the show discussing last night’s Mariners opener against the Yankees and a crazy night in baseball. Puck then welcomes Divish, Jude and a sweaty Booth, who is in New York covering the team. During the roundtable they discuss the Mariners first half, their team being built for the postseason, Jerry Dipoto’s future, Harry Ford trade, Cal Raleigh’s historic season, and how has Julio performed and was he deserving of an All-Star selection. Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  MLB going with automated strike zone system for the All-Star game. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy to start off the show and Bill Krueger, Old School Baseball podcast makes his Monday visit as well.  Puck and Jim open up talking about how they can’t build anything on their own and they feel like less men not being able to do so. They also dive into grocery store coupons and Jim can’t figure out how to make them work at Safeway and Puck doesn’t care for Safeway.  Along those lines, Jim is embarrassed how much he spent recently on a loaf of bread and these two idiots talk computers and ethernet.  After the nonsense they get into the Mariners sweep of the Pirates and they chat about Julio’s curious selection to the All-Star game. After Jim departs, Bill Krueger, host of the Old School Baseball Podcast, joins Puck to chat about the Mariners dominating pitching performance against the Pirates.  Kirby vs. Paul Skenes lived up to the hype.  They get into the All-Star selections of Bryan Woo, Andres Munoz and Bill doesn’t agree with the selection of Julio Rodriguez. Puck also expresses his concern with the wide receiving core heading into the season. MLB Insider Ryan Divish joins the show from Havre, Montana, where he’s taking a sabbatical from covering the Mariners and coaching his stepsons baseball team.  In this sneak preview of this weeks podcast, Divish and Puck start off talking about fans expectations of this team and some of their anger directed at third baseman Ben Williamson.  Speaking of third base, would the Red Sox make Alex Bregman available and would Seattle be interested?  The Mariners are running out of time in the division and only 1.5 up on the Angles for the final wild card spot. Is baseball headed to another work stoppage in 2026? On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by the Go-2-Guy Jim Moore, Chris Egan from KING 5 and “The Scout.”   Puck and Jim open the show discussing Jim’s first day on the job as a golf marshal at Quail Run in La Pine, Oregon.  With the injury to Mitch Garver, catching prospect Harry Ford is on his way to Texas to join the team. What are the expectations for Ford?   Puck and Jim discuss Dan Wilsons’ disastrous managerial job yesterday against the Twins and they have breaking news as it was announced during their show that Cal Raleigh will participate in the home run derby. Chris Egan, KING 5, makes his weekly appearance and they chat about Raleigh participating in the HR Derby, Egan’s fishing trip to Westport, Puck’s fascination with peanut butter and his Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup hack job.  They poke fun at Jim’s video that he posted on twitter on his first day working as a golf marshal.  Finally, they can’t seem to understand why Dylan Moore continues to play as much as he plays. “The Scout” joins Puck for his weekly Friday visit.  “The Scout” is an anonymous MLB scout that has been covering the game for the past 30 years.  With Harry Ford on his way to Texas to join the Mariners, Puck and “The Scout” spend a good portion of Friday’s show discussing Ford.  They discuss his strengths as a defender and also what he needs to work on.
