On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes his regular Tuesday guests, Jim Duquette, MLB Network radio, Danny Kelly from The Ringer and John Canzano from JohnCanzano.com. Puck opens the show discussing last night’s Mariners game and the razor edge margin that they play with every night.  Puck was able to find a couple of things that the offense is doing well and he hopes it continues.  Puck also touched in on last night’s national title game won by Florida and he wishes the officials would have stayed out of the outcome.  He also touched in on the Geno Smith comments where the former Seahawks quarterback felt disrespected.  Jim Duquette, MLB Network Radio, drops by for his weekly visit and they discuss the Vlad Guerrero Jr. massive contract and what impact that has on impending free agents.  Two former Astros players are off to great starts with their new teams, Kyle Tucker with the Cubs and Alex Bregman with the Red Sox.  11 games into the season and the Mariners have already ditched their plans for Jorge Polanco at third base.   The Rangers are off to a fast start but it’s not their offense getting the job done.  Danny Kelly from The Ringer drops by and discusses all things NFL draft.  What would surprise and anger Danny at #18 for the Seahawks?  Danny is focused on position group he wants the Seahawks to address.  Lastly, what did he make of Geno Smith’s comments that he felt disrespected?John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com pays his weekly Tuesday visit.  They begin the show with breaking news in the NBA that Mike Malone has been fired by the Denver Nuggets.  The NBA is a tough and unfair profession on coaches.  John shared his thoughts on the national title game in college hoops and he hopes the committee will once again reward mid-major programs.  Still no announcement on a Pac-12 media deal, but John did learn that the conference recently restarted conversations with UNLV about potentially joining once the legal issues with the Mountain West Conference are solved.   Finally, Puck and John discuss the heartbreaking story involving a six year old boy by the name of William Jackson and his daunting battle with a rare genetic disorder and his parents are helping to raise money for treatment and how we in the community can help out.  What wouldn’t we do for our children?Lastly, Puck wraps up the show playing a clip from The Athletic’s Dane Brugler’s weekly appearance on what Seattle wants and should do at 18 in the upcoming NFL draft.  The Brugler podcast is normally just for Puck’s Posse members, but he opened up this weeks episode for everyone.  Also, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  Puck circles back to the theme with Canzano, “what wouldn’t we do for our children?” (:50) Puck on the Mariners, national title game and Geno Smith (14:57) Jim Duquette, MLB Netword Radio (35:32) Danny Kelly, The Ringer (1:00:19) John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com (1:36:11) “Hey, What the Puck!?” 

On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is riding solo as Jim Moore is out on this Monday because he called in sick after spending all weekend in Pullman for Moms Weekend. Are we buying this?  Puck opens up the show taking about the Mariners 3-7 start and he discusses the comments from Julio who says the team should not be panicking and that they are in a good spot.    Puck also discusses the Victor Robles catch and injury, plus, the injury situation with Jorge Polanco and the M’s offense can’t sustain these injuries and their style of play over 162 games.  It’s Masters week and Puck announces the Puck the Picker Majors Pool with the grand prize being a night stay and two rounds of golf at Gamble Sands. Puck also promotes the debut of the Groz with Gas Take 5 podcast which comes out later this afternoon on Pucksports.com.    Puck then welcomes Matt “Stretch” Johnson and Steve Sandmeyer for episode three of The Sports Pit.  The boys cover another Victor Robles, Sandy back golfing, Sandy being fired as a bat boy, 90’s Mariners team, the Kingdome, Edgar’s bat, Lou Pinella and who do we have for The Masters.  Lastly, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  I miss the Kingdome. (1:00) Puck (33:38) The Sports Pit (1:40:13) “Hey, What the Puck!?”  

On Friday’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy from the side of the road in desolate eastern Oregon as Jim is on his way to see his kids in Pullman for Dad’s Weekend.   Puck and Jim try to cram in as much as they can before Jim’s internet will finally give out!    Jim is bothered that Emerson Hancock was sent down to the minors for Luis F. Castillo and he’s bothered that the Mariners PR department has come up with a bunch of unique factoids with both Castillo’s pitching back to back.  The Masters begins next week and Puck and Jim chat about the Puck the Picker Majors Pool that is Puck’s season long golf pool that includes the grand prize for a night stay and two rounds of golf at Gamble Sands!   Puck claims he can beat Jim in Horse and they have wagered $100 bet when Puck comes down to Bend for Memorial Day.   No Friday show would be complete if it didn’t include Friday Voicemails. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes his regular guests, Mike Garafolo, NFL Network.  Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic and Brad Adam, Root Sports.   Puck opens up the show talking about yesterday’s Mariners win over the Tigers and Tarik Skubal.  Luis Castillo was great. Dylan Moore made a great play in the infield and the bullpen is getting reinforcements.   Puck welcomes Mike Garafolo, NFL Network to recap the owners meetings in Florida.  Why did the owners table the tush push?  Mike explains that it will eventually be banned by the owners. They also discussed the changes to the overtime, and slight modifications to the kickoff.  Aaron Rogers is still a free agent and will he eventually sign with the Steelers?  NFL draft is weeks away and Mike says he’s expecting a flurry of draft day trades.    Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic  drops by to discuss the Seahawks offseason. Monday’s Daily Puck Drop with Jason “Puck” Puckett features the Go-2-Guy Jim Moore.  Puck and Jim react to the first weekend of Mariners baseball.  Both Puck and Jim are not all that upset with the start because it’s what they expected the offense to be.  Jim is still having technical issues in trying to figure how to watch the Mariners on his TV.   Jim asks Puck if he thinks Julio will turn into the super star that everyone thinks he will. Is it fair to ask?   Puck introduces Puck the Picker Majors Pool with the grand prize being a trip to Gamble Sands golf course.   After Jim leaves, it’s The Sports Pit podcast with Puck and KJR alums Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson.  Puck plays an edited 20 minute version of the hour-plus show that comes out every Monday.  They touch on the opening series with the Mariners and A’s and Sandy was surprised about the lack of energy inside the stadium.   Lastly, “What the Puck?!” Don’t panic yet, but the four games are a microcosm of the last four years of Mariners baseball. 

On Today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by the Go-2-Guy Jim Moore and Chris Egan from King 5.  Puck and Jim open up the show talking about last night’s Mariners win and Puck was wondering if Jim was able to stream the game on the new Root Sports app.  They talk about the incredible game from Jorge Polanco, the pitching of Logan Gilbert and the play of Ryan Bliss.  Jim also busts Puck’s balls about his first anniversary show yesterday.   Egan joins the show and jumps in on the Mariners lover from the opener and shares his excitement for the season to start.  Egan tells a hilarious story about his junior high basketball team suffering the worst loss he’s ever experienced in his coaching career. Is Ryan Bliss ready at second base?  Can J.P.
