Daily Puck Drop, Wed., May 7 - "I'm going to try and build my brand, FU!"

On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett and Jim Moore discuss the red hot Mariners offense.  Cal Raleigh is once again clutch for the Mariners and Puck and Jim give Julio and J.P. their praise for their recent play.  Julio starting to show signs of turning the corner and J.P. has been red hot since the first week of the season.  Jim and Puck also cover the Cougars and a new quarterback that has joined the team.  Jim wonders how good the team will be this year and they talk about how excited they are to watch the Cougs play at Ole Miss and their expectations for Jimmy Rogers in year one. MLB Insider Ryan Divish joins for his weekly visit from the Valley Furniture store in Havre, Montana.  Ryan starts off wondering how the Mariners keep winning and the way they are doing it.  The offensive numbers continue to improve, especially from J.P. The Sports Pit, Ep. 7 “Stretch, it fell in your lap”

On the latest episode of the Sports Pit with Jason “Puck” Puckett, Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson, Puck and Sandy have pulled Stretch away from watching game seven of the Blues and Jets and they actually opened the show talking about the sport of hockey and why it’s so different from the other sports, especially in the playoffs and why it doesn’t translate more to the mass media and sports ran in the U.S. They transition to talking about the Mariners and the unpredictable nature of sports and how the Mariners continue to surprise this season and why they are so fun to watch Stretch details how he because the Sounders play by play voice, calling games for five years. Puck and Sandy share their stories of starting off doing games at small radio stations in small towns. Sandy shares his favorite sporting memory and it took place in a Mt. Vernon gym watching high school wrestling. The show wraps up with the conclusion of the Jets beating the Blues in double overtime and Puck patronizes Stretch.

Daily Puck Drop, Mon., May 5 - Glass half-full with the Mariners!

On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore at the start of the show and then Puck plays a portion of The Sports Pit podcast with Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson. Puck and Jim start off talking about Jim’s visit to Pullman to move his kids out and Puck wonders if the loosely tied furniture he had tied to his truck made it all the way from Bend, Oregon to Pullman.  They still laugh at the success of the Mariners, and yet Puck is still worried that the other shoe will drop on the team, but they are playing a very entertaining style of baseball right now that looks like it will carry over for the entire summer.   Before Jim leaves, they make fun of all the Seahawks rookie minicamp talk and Puck tells Jim about his son having a perfect game broken up in Little League. After Jim says goodbye, Puck plays a portion of The Sports Pit with Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson where they discuss a lot about the NHL playoffs because they recored the episode during Game 7 between the Jets and Blues and Stretch is a huge hockey fan.  They marvel at the toughness and sportsmanship of hockey. Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  No better tradition in sports than the handshake line in hockey.  Nothing compares. (2:37) Puck and Jim (51:41) The Sports Pit (1:22:55) “Hey, What the Puck!?”

Daily Puck Drop, Fri., May 2 - Sports unite and inspire us like no other

On Friday’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Chris Egan, KING 5, who is filling in for Jim Moore, because he’s picking his boys from college.  Puck also welcomes “The Scout”, his weekly visit with anonymous baseball scout who currently works for a major league team.  Puck and Egan open the show talking about the tragedy that touched the Umpqua Community College softball team that Puck and Canzano talked about a few weeks ago.  Egan started off his television career in southern Oregon and wanted to pay his respects.  They also touched in on the amazing start for the Mariners, plus, Grey Zabel getting Steve Hutchinson’s number 76 and Egan details two incredible stories that will air next week on KING 5 involving one of the states top baseball players and a story about courage, perseverance, addiction and triumph involving a Edmonds Community College softball player. Daily Puck Drop, Thu., May 1 - Can Jalen Milroe push Darnold? Jorge Polanco best in MLB

On today’s Daily Puck Drop, episode 608! Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes his regular Thursday guests, Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, Michael-Shawn Dugar from The Athletic and Brad Adam from ROOT sports. Puck starts off the show laughing about another Mariners win and how unexpected this start to the season is for the Mariners. In their win on Wednesday they won in a fashion that they haven’t done before as Puck explains. Mike Garafolo, NFL Network, recaps the NFL draft and what he liked about what the Seahawks did in addressing a number of needs. It just continues, My Oh My!   Jim’s wife Kathy crashes the party and Puck wonders why isn’t she doing the podcast over Jim! Daily Puck Drop, Mon., Apr. 28 - Seahawks A+ Draft and Mariners Offense leading the way

On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett  and Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy, open up the show discussing the red hot Seattle Mariners, Jorge Polanco and they are flabbergasted that they and he are playing so well. It begs the question, can the Mariners keep it up?   They also dive into the Seahawks draft weekend and what a runaway success it was and they reached talked about their favorite part of the class.  Jim loved Damian Martinez and Puck loved that virtually every pick was a team captain and they never entered the transfer portal.  Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic, joined the show to recap the draft and offer his perspective and what he made of  the new class.   How will they deploy Jalen Milroe?  Was it unfair of Mike Macdonald to come out and say that Sam Darnold will be on the field 90 percent of the time and the other 10 percent goes to Milroe?  What was notable about this class and what set it apart from other classes under John Schneider?After Dugar leaves, Puck and Jim clean some house on other stories like rookies asking to wear retired jerseys.
