Duquette stops by and he and Puck pick up on the Mariners starters and they discuss whether or not we should be concerned with the Mariners recent play? They also chat about the health of Bryce Miller, the offense carrying the team, bullpen help they need to add at the deadline and who would be potentially available. They switch to other MLB stories like the firing of Bud Black and Derek Shelton, plus, what has happened to the Baltimore Orioles, the emergence of the Detroit Tigers and the ugly situation in Boston involving Rafael Devers. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore and Bill Krueger. Jim starts off the show detailing a parking incident with his neighbor that has led to a neighborhood dispute that has left Jim and his family on the outside looking in and has created conflict within the Bend neighborhood. Jim has also once again found himself in hot water with his dogs off leash while walking on a Bend trail, however, instead of being scolded by a fellow walker, Jim’s dogs were threatened with violence! Jim was in Seattle this weekend for Mothers Day and spent the time watching the M’s with his mom. They discuss the Blue Jays sweep and they talk about Bryce Miller and why he can’t make another start in the near future for the M’s. Bill Krueger is back with Puck talking Mariners baseball! Bill is no longer a part of the Mariners broadcast team and shares his feelings about their decision not to bring him back and how hurtful it was to not have their decision properly communicated to him. Puck opens up talking about the Mariners ninth straight series win and marvels how they keep finding new and different ways to win the game. Despite giving up three runs in the first inning, Puck loved the way Bryan Woo competed. Despite it being early, Puck feels the A.L. West will come down to the A’s and the Mariners. Mike Garafolo, NFL Network joins the show and we have breaking news! A new pope is announced and he’s an American! Puck suggests changes to sports that he wants the Pope to get involved in. Puck and Jim start off talking about Jim’s visit to Pullman to move his kids out and Puck wonders if the loosely tied furniture he had tied to his truck made it all the way from Bend, Oregon to Pullman. They still laugh at the success of the Mariners, and yet Puck is still worried that the other shoe will drop on the team, but they are playing a very entertaining style of baseball right now that looks like it will carry over for the entire summer.
