On this weeks show with Jason “Puck” Puckett, Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson, the boys go down memory lane telling hilarious stories of their time at KJR and all unique characters that they worked with. If you remember all the old names of producers and hosts this is the show for you. Sandy starts off the show taking aim at Puck for his appearance with former KJR morning host Mitch Levy on his show last week. Sandy and Stretch chat about their time working with Mitch and all the good and the bad, but mostly good times for their time spent with him. Sit back and enjoy a roller coaster of laughter and stories about old KJR days! 

On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes his Tuesday guests, former MLB GM Jim Duquette, who now works for MLB Network radio and John Canzano from JohnCanzano.com Before Duquette pops on, Puck chats about last nights Mariners game and once again the struggles of the starters.  Duquette stops by and he and Puck pick up on the Mariners starters and they discuss whether or not we should be concerned with the Mariners recent play?  They also chat about the health of Bryce Miller, the offense carrying the team, bullpen help they need to add at the deadline and who would be potentially available.  They switch to other MLB stories like the firing of Bud Black and Derek Shelton, plus, what has happened to the Baltimore Orioles, the emergence of the Detroit Tigers and the ugly situation in Boston involving Rafael Devers. Puck then welcomes John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com to the show and they discuss the breaking news that the Portland Trail Blazers are for sale and they discuss what, if any, impact it may have on the sale of the Seattle Seahawks.  They discussed one of John’s latest stories where he wrote a piece on the five most influential football figures at UW, WSU, Oregon State, Oregon and Utah. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore and Bill Krueger.  Jim starts off the show detailing a parking incident with his neighbor that has led to a neighborhood dispute that has left Jim and his family on the outside looking in and has created conflict within the Bend neighborhood.  Jim has also once again found himself in hot water with his dogs off leash while walking on a Bend trail, however, instead of being scolded by a fellow walker, Jim’s dogs were threatened with violence! Jim was in Seattle this weekend for Mothers Day and spent the time watching the M’s with his mom. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes the one and only Mitch Levy to the show, “Mitch Unfiltered!” Puck and Mitch have been working behind the scenes for a while now to work together and they finally get it done.  They cover everything from why it took so long to work together, their time at KJR, why they are so similar, why they look at sports differently, why the Gasman almost fought Mitch, his early days at KJR, how Puck convinced Steve Sandmeyer to join the Sports Pit and Mitch tells an amazing story about when he was coaching 10 year olds in Little League! Puck then welcomes “The Scout”, an anonymous MLB scout for a current MLB team and they cover all things Mariners. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett welcomes Mike Garafolo, NFL Network and Brad Adam, ROOT Sports to the show.  Puck opens up talking about the Mariners ninth straight series win and marvels how they keep finding new and different ways to win the game.  Despite giving up three runs in the first inning, Puck loved the way Bryan Woo competed.  Despite it being early, Puck feels the A.L. West will come down to the A’s and the Mariners.  Mike Garafolo, NFL Network joins the show and we have breaking news!  A new pope is announced and he’s an American!  Puck suggests changes to sports that he wants the Pope to get involved in.  Puck suggests to Mike that the Pope calls up Roger Goodell and have him change the kickoff rule back to the original kickoff.  Puck also wants him to ban the Tush Push and in baseball he would like him to get rid of the dropped third strike.   After they get through the Pope, Mike addresses the Steelers trade of George Pickens to Dallas, the Eagles sign tight end Dallas Goedert, when will Aaron Rogers made a decision on his future?  Did the Ravens handle the Justin Tucker release news properly?  Lastly, how close are the 49ers and Brock Purdy to a new deal that may pay him close to $60 million a year?Puck switches gears back to baseball and has Brad Adam of ROOT Sports on to discuss another series win for the Mariners, plus what was baseball like in Sacramento?  Brad says the park is good for fans, but bad for the players.  Why is Cal Raleigh so comfortable in tense situations and what can Julio learn from him?  George Kirby is getting closer to coming back, when he does return, will Bryce Miller find himself on the IL?  The Blue Jays are coming to town this weekend, it’s time to introduce the new Tariff menu and section! Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”   It’s clear to see the job that Edgar Martinez has done with this team offensively. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett and Jim Moore discuss the red hot Mariners offense.  Cal Raleigh is once again clutch for the Mariners and Puck and Jim give Julio and J.P. their praise for their recent play.  Julio starting to show signs of turning the corner and J.P. has been red hot since the first week of the season.  Jim and Puck also cover the Cougars and a new quarterback that has joined the team.  Jim wonders how good the team will be this year and they talk about how excited they are to watch the Cougs play at Ole Miss and their expectations for Jimmy Rogers in year one. MLB Insider Ryan Divish joins for his weekly visit from the Valley Furniture store in Havre, Montana.  Ryan starts off wondering how the Mariners keep winning and the way they are doing it.  The offensive numbers continue to improve, especially from J.P. On the latest episode of the Sports Pit with Jason “Puck” Puckett, Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson, Puck and Sandy have pulled Stretch away from watching game seven of the Blues and Jets and they actually opened the show talking about the sport of hockey and why it’s so different from the other sports, especially in the playoffs and why it doesn’t translate more to the mass media and sports ran in the U.S. They transition to talking about the Mariners and the unpredictable nature of sports and how the Mariners continue to surprise this season and why they are so fun to watch Stretch details how he because the Sounders play by play voice, calling games for five years. Puck and Sandy share their stories of starting off doing games at small radio stations in small towns. Sandy shares his favorite sporting memory and it took place in a Mt. Vernon gym watching high school wrestling. The show wraps up with the conclusion of the Jets beating the Blues in double overtime and Puck patronizes Stretch.

On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore at the start of the show and then Puck plays a portion of The Sports Pit podcast with Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson. Puck and Jim start off talking about Jim’s visit to Pullman to move his kids out and Puck wonders if the loosely tied furniture he had tied to his truck made it all the way from Bend, Oregon to Pullman.  They still laugh at the success of the Mariners, and yet Puck is still worried that the other shoe will drop on the team, but they are playing a very entertaining style of baseball right now that looks like it will carry over for the entire summer.   Before Jim leaves, they make fun of all the Seahawks rookie minicamp talk and Puck tells Jim about his son having a perfect game broken up in Little League. After Jim says goodbye, Puck plays a portion of The Sports Pit with Steve Sandmeyer and Matt “Stretch” Johnson where they discuss a lot about the NHL playoffs because they recored the episode during Game 7 between the Jets and Blues and Stretch is a huge hockey fan.  They marvel at the toughness and sportsmanship of hockey. Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  No better tradition in sports than the handshake line in hockey.  Nothing compares. (2:37) Puck and Jim (51:41) The Sports Pit (1:22:55) “Hey, What the Puck!?”  

On Friday’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Chris Egan, KING 5, who is filling in for Jim Moore, because he’s picking his boys from college.  Puck also welcomes “The Scout”, his weekly visit with anonymous baseball scout who currently works for a major league team.  Puck and Egan open the show talking about the tragedy that touched the Umpqua Community College softball team that Puck and Canzano talked about a few weeks ago.  Egan started off his television career in southern Oregon and wanted to pay his respects.  They also touched in on the amazing start for the Mariners, plus, Grey Zabel getting Steve Hutchinson’s number 76 and Egan details two incredible stories that will air next week on KING 5 involving one of the states top baseball players and a story about courage, perseverance, addiction and triumph involving a Edmonds Community College softball player.
