On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Duquette of MLB Network Radio.  John Canzano from JohnCanzao.com has the week off.  Puck opens the show just celebrating Cal Raleigh’s home run derby win.  Cal embodies the best that there is in professional athletes.  Puck also dives into the Mariners second half outlook and why Julio Rodriguez is the key for the Mariners to chase down the Houston Astros. Jim Duquette, MLB Network Radio joins Puck from HOT-lanta. On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy to start off the show and Bill Krueger, Old School Baseball podcast makes his Monday visit as well.  Puck and Jim open up the show withJim telling Puck about his buddy who blew off his toenail while pressure washing his back patio because he was wearing sandals…who does that?!! Jim has experienced a little writing regrets as of late and they talk about the betting odds for the home run derby, Cal Raleigh being the best teammate you could ask for and Julio’s remarkable series against Detroit and hopefully this is a precursor to things to come in the second half of the season.  They wrap up talking about the NBA Baord of Governors meeting on Tuesday in Las Vegas to talk expansion and Puck is worried that they may table expansion talk. Bill Krueger, Old School Baseball podcast joins the show to talk Mariners. On Thursday’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Brad Adam of ROOT Sports and Mitch Levy from the Mitch Unfiltered podcast.   Mike Garafolo, NFL Network is on nation and has the week off. Puck opens the show discussing last night’s Mariners game and the Mariners limping toward the break and despite the Astros struggles they haven’t been able to make up any ground in the west.  Puck then switches to a story coming out of Oklahoma that the Thunder will soon be put up for sale.  Bring them back home! Brad Adam joins Puck from noisy New York where he’s sitting outside enjoying the sites and sounds of the Big Apple.  They chat  about the starters getting banged up in the first two games of the Yankees series. Despite the Astros getting swept they haven’t made up any ground in the AL West. How has Cal handled the NYC media and what are they saying about his chances for the AL MVP?  Finally, is Julio aware of the criticism back in Seattle and nationwide about his selection to the All-Star game and why isn’t he more beloved by the younger fanbase?Mitch Levy, Mitch Unfiltered, joins Puck during the live show, however, once it’s over the full episode is for Puck’s Posse members. On Wednesday’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett, the Go-2-Guy has the day off so Puck welcomes Tim Booth and Adam Jude from the Seattle Times to join his weekly guest, Ryan Divish, who is taking a sabbatical from covering the team to coach his stepsons travel ball team, to breakdown the first half of the Mariners season. Puck opens up the show discussing last night’s Mariners opener against the Yankees and a crazy night in baseball. Puck then welcomes Divish, Jude and a sweaty Booth, who is in New York covering the team. During the roundtable they discuss the Mariners first half, their team being built for the postseason, Jerry Dipoto’s future, Harry Ford trade, Cal Raleigh’s historic season, and how has Julio performed and was he deserving of an All-Star selection. Puck wraps up the show with, “Hey, What the Puck!?”  MLB going with automated strike zone system for the All-Star game. This no doubt will be implemented in games next season. Puck also expresses his concern with the wide receiving core heading into the season. MLB Insider Ryan Divish joins the show from Havre, Montana, where he’s taking a sabbatical from covering the Mariners and coaching his stepsons baseball team.  In this sneak preview of this weeks podcast, Divish and Puck start off talking about fans expectations of this team and some of their anger directed at third baseman Ben Williamson.  Speaking of third base, would the Red Sox make Alex Bregman available and would Seattle be interested?  The Mariners are running out of time in the division and only 1.5 up on the Angles for the final wild card spot.
