Mariners magic continues at home! Week 1 NFL reaction with NFL Network's Mike Garafolo | Daily Puck Drop

Seahawks get outplayed and fumble loss. Mariners offensive turnaround? | Daily Puck Drop

On today’s Daily Puck Drop, Jason “Puck” Puckett is joined by Jim Moore, the Go-2-Guy, The Athletic’s Michael-Shawn Dugar and Bill Krueger, host of the “Old School Baseball” podcast. The show opens with Puck and Jim discussing the Seahawks loss to the 49ers and Puck and Jim disagree  on if the Seahawks blew the game or if the 49ers were the better team.  Jim is celebrating because he collected $20 bucks off Puck on his Jalen Milroe bet, which Puck said he would only take a snap this season in the red zone…what a foolish bet!  They also touch in on the Cougs being 2-0, the M’s road trip and Puck describes a dinner from hell! Michael-Shawn Dugar, The Athletic joins Puck every Monday to talk Seahawks football and the react to the Seahawks week one loss and what led to it vs. San Francisco.  They agree that the receiving core is a problem, but Mike says it’s been a problem since camp.  Puck and Mike try to understand why they activated Jalen Milroe and then don’t elect to use him late in the game.  Also, Riq Woolen had a rough game and once again his effort level is questioned. Can someone like Woolen ever get better at that?Puck goes back to baseball to catch up with another Monday regular, Bill Krueger, “Old School Baseball” and they chat about Seattle’s 3-6 road trip, but it did end on a positive note with winning the last two in dominating fashion.  Julio continues to mash the baseball and has again joined elite company as his torrid second half continues.  Bill reacts to George Kirby purposely hitting a Rays player and says there is no place in the game for that behavior.  Why are the Mariners pitchers struggling so much this season with opposing teams picking up their signs?  Bill says it’s all about the glove placement and how they are gripping the ball in their glove.
