11 | Channeling your psychic abilities with Emily the Medium
Emily is a medium. Meaning she transmits messages from your ancestors, deceased loved ones, spirit guides, higher self, and even potential spirit babies to support you on your life path.
This is an episode that I’m not sure I would have been comfortable publishing even 6 months ago—that is until I received a reading from Emily during which she channeled my deceased grandfather with such stunning accuracy and detail that I had to acknowledge there might be something to connecting with the “other side.”
The reality is that we are always receiving psychic information.
It’s what happens when you call someone and they exclaim in surprise that they were just thinking of you.
It’s what happens when you dream about something before it happens.
It’s what happens when you know someone is experiencing relationship issues before they tell you.
We receive psychic information with such staggering frequency that it’s easy to dismiss these signals as coincidence.
But what if they weren’t?
What if we all had access to energetic currents that connected us to our higher selves, life purpose, and higher order wisdom?
After dabbling with these questions and more in my own life, I knew it was time to bring Emily—known by her audience as Emily the Medium—onto the show to share her wisdom from her years of psychic readings.
We cover a lot of ground in this nearly 90 minute episode! Including:
How Emily got into mediumship
Her mystical experiences channeling messages for friends and relatives before unleveling her gifts into a full-time career
Who are our “spirit guides” and how can we connect with them?
Spirit babies and the ethereal beings that are attempting to connect with us to come earth side
Gen-Z and ushering in a new (and long overdue) paradigm of gender fluidity
Emily’s experience with labels and letting them lose their hold on her as she evolves away from defining herself and her business as any one thing
The perpetual search for “aliveness” and how we can be more intentional with where we show up and how
The power of rediscovering our relationship with nature and connecting with and caring for the trees
Resources Emily suggests you use if you’re curious about dipping your toes into clairvoyance (including Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert!)
Books mentioned:
Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert
The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron
The Psychic Pathway by Sonia Choquette

In this episode, Cass O'Neill joins us to discuss the magic of being alive, how to unlock creativity in your everyday life, the process of working with ideas and money as energy, and much more.

The process of writing and publishing her poetry book, the sure song of here
How Cass learned to find comfort in intimacy, in staying in experiences for their opportunity for connectedness rather than being the first one to leave a party

9 | The cycle of transformation with Natalie Kuhn
“In 2020 we changed because we had to, in 2021, let’s change because we want to.”
In this episode, Nadia interviews Natalie Kuhn, one of the founding teachers and VP of Programming for The Class—a workout for the mind, body, and spirit.
Natalie discusses the agility that can be discovered by identifying and working with the repeatable seasons of change: awareness, resistance, confrontation, chaos, emergence and arrival.
Though the circumstances may change, the phases of transformation are relatively predictable. Learning to anticipate each phase helps us walk through profound shifts in our lives with agility, openness, and grace.
We also discuss:
How The Class is actively participating in anti-racism work as a wellness company (mentioned: Caste by Isabel Wilkerson)
Natalie opens up about unexpectedly losing her mother, sharing advice for anyone in the initial throes of grief and how she still connects with and honors her mom today
The fallacy of "work-life balance"
The lessons she’s learned being in conscious partnership after years of working on herself first
The Journey: Cycle of Transformation, The Class’s newest 2-day digital retreat where 10 renowned thought leaders guide you through the necessary steps along the path to true change. Streamed live on Saturday, 3/20 and Sunday, 3/21 and will be available on demand through 4/20. Register here: https://www.theclass.com/thejourney

8 | My Story Pt 2: My Spiritual Awakening
Alright, y’all here’s the grand finale in this two-part series where Nadia finally shares her full self. Consider this her spiritual coming out party because we are diving all the way in to unpack her journey down the rabbit hole.
Nadia takes you through her spiritual unraveling after she thought she had “figured it all out."
Her dark night of the soul and how getting what she always thought she wanted ended up throwing her into a complete identity crisis.
How she “woke up” and what that even means in the first place.
The downward spiral that ensued is still somewhat unbelievable looking back, but resulted in a 180 degree shift in her life path and a rebirth of the person she always was and just needed a soul awakening to step into.

7 | My Story Pt 1: Reclaiming My Childhood
Grab some tea and a blanket and get cozy because Nadia’s going IN on this episode, sharing her full self, no holds barred.
In the first of this two-part series, Nadia talks all about her upbringing, where she came from and how it influenced the work that she does today.
How she grew up in a deeply religious home and found her own pathway into spirituality.
When she rejected religion entirely and why.
Her deepest childhood wounds around fear of social rejection and financial scarcity.
Her money story, getting into college and paying for her education with scholarships, and the distorted ambition that this fueled during her early days in the corporate world.
Why she felt so WEIRD as a kid and how she’s reclaiming these parts of herself now as her greatest gifts!
By sharing her story, she hopes you find bits of yourself along the way. We are all interconnected and while her experiences may be unique, the feelings she shares are ones we've all felt at some point in our lives.
It's only be sharing our full selves that we will begin to feel less isolated and more connected by similar threads in this ongoing human experiment we call life.

5 | Grief is love with nowhere to go with Rachel Reichblum
Grief is one of the most taboo topics and yet death is the only inevitable that we will all experience in this life.
Whether or not you’ve experienced the death of someone close to you, we can all relate to the feeling of grief this year more than ever. It’s an emotion that unites all of us as we mourn the plans we thought that we were going to have, the year that we thought this would be, the relationships and jobs lost, the locations moved, the human lives lost and many more forever changed by this pandemic.
In The Current's inaugural interview, host Nadia Last interviews her dear friend, former coworker, and creator of @thatgoodgrief, an Instagram that welcomes people who are grappling with grief in all of its many forms.
With wit, humor, and deep wisdom, Rachel discusses her experience of losing both parents to the same form of brain cancer within 14 months of each other while Rachel was in her late 20's and the events that ultimately nudged her to create @thatgoodgrief.
Her story is all of our stories. At various points in our lives, we will all feel grief. Rachel's story gives us permission to grieve, to create space for grief as love with nowhere to go. To be kind to ourselves and allow space for grief in whatever way it manifests in our lives.
