Ep. 316 - The Great Divorce From History, with The Prudentialist

This week, we are once again joined by The Prudentialist here on Counterflow. He is an Orthodox Christian, writer, YouTuber, and fisherman. We are talking about something that he has coined, "the great divorce from history". From our guest: A divorce from history, a consequence of the orgiastic high that has come from Liberalism's alleged victories from the Cold War and the Second World War has left many smugly championing the cultural and economic victories while quietly ignoring the visceral transformations of their homes. To say that the past was evil, or that each step leftward was a step towards some concept of fully automated luxury gay space communism, then we are witnessing the continued suicide of the West in real time, just as Burnham remarked sixty years ago. We get into how this has happened and where we might be headed. Ep. 315 - An Explanation of the Orthodox Faith, with Clark Carlton, Pt. 2

This is Part 2 of my conversation with Clark Carlton using his book "The Faith" as a guide for our discussion on the many nuances and aspects of the Orthodox Christian Faith. There are a ton of misconceptions and misunderstandings about Christianity in general but even more so with Orthodox Christianity. I want these two episodes to be almost like a catechetical guide into Orthodoxy. We get into apostolic succession, spiritual depth, repentance, pride, humility, Catholicism, Protestantism, and so much more. This interview was so big that we are making it into two parts. Ep. 313 - Conservatives Should Reject Ideology, with Auron Macintyre

Auron MacIntyre is back with us this week to discuss the beautiful losers we call conservatives. The left cares about power and control, but the right has tried to put principle and ideology ahead of actually gaining and using power. This has put conservatives on the losing side of politics for more than a century. Now, leftism is the default setting for society, all of the country's institutions, corporations, and power structures. It's time for conservatives to stop letting their ideology get in the way of gaining power and defeating the left. Auron lays it all out in this excellent discussion.   For more from Auron, go here:   To order his NEW book, go here: Visit my website: Donate to the show here:  Audio Production by Podsworth Media: Leave us a review and rating on iTunes! Ep. 311 - Red States Are Lurching Toward Antichrist, with Nichols from Orthodox Reflections

Nicholas from Orthodox Reflections returns to the show this week. We are discussing bad theology that is infecting many "red" states in the US. Several of these states are pushing laws that outlaw any speech deemed to be antisemitic. There's a rancher in Texas sending red heifers to Israel, which is a step to engineer the apocalypse, in his mind. Why is this happening? Are Jews the "chosen people"? Why is this a thing people say? There is a lot of bad theology involved with these things, and bad theology can lead to very bad actions. We get into all of this and more. Ep. 310 - Multipolarity and the West, with Ben Dixon

My guest this week is Ben Dixon, author of the "Where the Wasteland Ends" Substack (). We are breaking down the rise of larger world superpowers as the US and the West are having to respect these powers. The West was able to run roughshod through much of the last 50 years. With the rise of Russia, China, India, and Brazil, this is no longer the case. What will the ramifications of this be? What happens with the dollar on the world stage? We discuss these items and more. Ep. 309: Atheism and the Problem of Knowledge, Part 1, with Adam Patrick

My guest this week is host of the Age of Information podcast and friend of the show, Adam Patrick. Adam and I discuss the circular faith that is atheism. Many vocal atheists choose to dunk on low-hanging fruit, and when challenged to present why and how they arrived at their worldview, can't articulate it. Atheism, as well as any worldview, has to rely on faith at some level. Adam breaks down the epistemology of atheism, Orthodox Christianity, and various other worldviews. Ep. 308: Diary of a Psychosis, with Tom Woods

My guest this week is one of the best authors and podcasters in our circles. He is the great Tom Woods. Tom is the author of thirteen books, and his latest one is a devastating death blow to the COVID cultists that have plagued our entire existence since 2020. From the "experts" that we were told to trust, to the media, to even our own friends and family members, at times, SO many people were just plain evil and wrong. What Tom did was keep a daily newsletter that documented many of the lies and inconsistent so-called "science" that we were yelled at to trust. From Tom's famous charts where you couldn't possibly tell which county did what regarding lockdowns and masks, to the many testimonies from those whose lives were destroyed because of the tyranny, Tom has a book full of receipts, and we are pulling them in this episode. What the evil people perpetuated during these years must never go unpunished nor unforgotten. In this episode, Tom and I discuss much of it. Here are some of Tom's links for you to visit:     Visit my website:  Donate to the show here:  Audio Production by Podsworth Media: Leave us a review and rating on iTunes! Thanks!

Ep. 307: The New Puritans, the New Witches, with Father Zechariah Lynch

Today, Fr. Zechariah Lynch returns to the show to discuss some themes in one of his recent blog posts entitled, "We Found Witches! The Inquisition of Control over Human Freedom" over at his . America was founded by Puritans. That Puritan spirit has remained a guiding spirit of American culture and society even today. In the early years, many Christian Puritans were looking for witches to burn at the stake. This is still happening today. What is different in modern times is, while we have lost the spirit of Christianity, broadly speaking, Puritanism is still there, only now fueled by a secular religion. If you don't offer up the pinch of incense to many of these types, YOU will become the witch that they want to burn at the stake.
