Ep. 127: Trump, Biden, the election, and the Prospects for Libertarians, with Daniel McCarthy

My guest today is highly acclaimed journalist and editor of Modern Age: A Conservative Review, Daniel McCarthy. His writing has appeared in the New York Times, USA Today, The Spectator, the National Interest, Reason, Modern Age, and other publications. Today, we are discussing the upcoming presidential election and the reasons that he believes libertarians should cast their vote for Donald Trump. We discuss many of Trump's policies yet we get broader and discuss the culture war and what Biden and Trump represent in that battle. Daniel is always a joy to talk with and I think that this discussion will make you think. Dan's recent piece on Trump's path to victory: https://nationalinterest.org/feature/donald-trump’s-path-victory-clear-170767?fbclid=IwAR3MlGe8SEj_81fgTPzsPOYioWkWiKlqwF3_LJf7aeeC9Sh78Ig9JI5mu7o Find out more about the great Modern Age Journal here: Sponsors: Zippix Toothpicks ( ): Enter code DTTP at checkout for 10% off your order! Ep. 126: On Cultural Marxism and Critical Race Theory

My guest today is Stephen Kirschner, and we are discussing something that is very often misunderstood and incorrectly defined--especially on Google!!!--and that is cultural Marxism. Stephen penned a great piece on it, and he's here to explain its meaning, its origins, and everything in between. We also discuss Critical Race Theory, since it's been in the news a lot lately and I want you guys to understand what it is and how harmful it's been. I think you'll love this chat with Stephen Kirschner. Sponsors: Zippix Toothpicks ( ): Enter code DTTP at checkout for 10% off your order! Ep. 125: The Detestable Nature of the Left, with Thaddeus Russell

This week, Thaddeus Russell is back, and we have a lot to discuss. Not only is he here to give his well-researched thoughts on the modern left, but he goes back decades to explain how we have arrived at the wild moment that we are in now. We touch on Marxism, BLM, feminism, the coming split within the Democratic Party, and more. Also, due to when we recorded this, we naturally had to discuss the wild presidential debate that we had just watched the night before. We end with a discussion on what might be coming our way: Could it be civil unrest? Secession? Thaddeus is the founder of Renegade University, the proprietor of the Unregistered Podcast, and author of "A Renegade History of the United States". Ep. 124: The Woke Supremacy: An Anti-Socialist Manifesto, with Evan Sayet

My guest this week is author, speaker, speech writer, and comedian, Evan Sayet. Evan is here to discuss his new book, "The Woke Supremacy: An Anti-Socialist Manifesto". This book is an easy and highly educational read for those interested in the dangers of all forms of socialism. Evan details the differences between types of socialism (e.g. national, democratic, Russian), but more importantly, he details the similarities. We get into this current version of socialism pushed by the "woke" left. Hitler's vision wasn't so much the genocide of Jews as it was the utopia after that. Pol Pot's vision wasn't so much the killing fields as it was the utopia after that. Similarly, the current generation of woke leftists see cancelling out anyone they deem the "others" as merely a means to their utopian end too. Ep. 121: Lew Rockwell on Right Populism and the Case for Paleo-Libertarianism Today

My guest this week is the founder and Chairman of the Mises Institute, Lew Rockwell. In 1990, Lew wrote a historic manifesto called, "The Case for Paleo- Libertarianism". This was a case to denounce the culturally leftist instincts of mainstream libertarianism and make the case that liberty thrives much better in a culturally conservative setting. Within the pages of the famed "Rothbard-Rockwell Report", the case was made to cut ties with the Libertarian Party and to back presidential candidate Patrick Buchanan. The political climate of the day was one that saw a mainstream conservative candidate who was an anti-interventionist and not afraid to call out the dangers of politically correct culture. Seeing that as an option and the libertine/leftist/atheist leanings of the Libertarian Party gave Murray Rothbard and Lew Rockwell cause to align with the Buchanan campaign and denounce the LP. Fast forward to today's political climate. Do you see any parallels between then and now? Is it time to walk away from the Libertarian Party in order to support right-wing populism? I ask Lew Rockwell this and a lot more. Lew pulls no punches, and I know you will enjoy this. Here is where you can find the great book, "The Irrepressible Rothbard" : Here is the original article, "The Case for Paleo-Libertarianism": Here is Lew's great daily news site (a must read!): Sponsors: Zippix Toothpicks ( ): Enter code DTTP at checkout for 10% off your order! Ep. 120: Ron Paul on the Lockdowns Causing More Harm Than Good

My guest this week is the great Dr. Ron Paul. This is a great honor for me, as Dr. Paul has been an inspiration to me for a long time. His willingness to always stand on principle, no matter how unpopular it may be, has been unwavering, and his commitment to liberty and peace is unmatched by any congressman in the history of this country. He is here to discuss the harmful and disastrous lockdown policies implemented by many countries, states, and cities. As he did during the media blitz and myriad of lies regarding WMDs in Iraq in 2002 and 2003, Dr. Paul has been in the fray speaking truth amidst the COVID-19 propaganda campaign from Day One. Will the lockdown warriors be held accountable for the damage they've caused? Only time will tell. All we can continue to do is speak truth against lies and stand on principle, just as Ron Paul has done his whole life. Ep. 119: Understanding COVID-19 Stats in the Correct Context

There is no shortage of dishonest reporting on COVID-19 these days, and we are here to help you understand what is really going on. Statistician extraordinaire Joshua Ketter is back with us to break down not only the COVID facts for Texas but for the country as a whole. How does Texas compare to NY? The NY Times wrote that the situation in Texas was "New York all over again". Why would they lie like that? What numbers are truly important? Is it the death rate? The case rate? Why are death rates so often reported incorrectly? Should children go back to school now? We cover all of these things, and more importantly, we put the information in the correct context and explain what actually matters.
