Decision-Making: Patrick McGinnis
You probably have heard the term FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). How about the term FOBO (Fear of Better Options). Today I speak with the creator of both terms. Patrick McGinnis (https://patrickmcginnis.com/) coined the term FOMO in a 2004 article in the student newspaper of Harvard Business School. FOMO has since been added to the dictionary and FOBO has become an increasingly popular framework to describe choice paralysis. You can view his TED Talk here. In this episode, he talks about his approach to decision-making and specific practices we can implement to avoid decision fatigue.
