The book of Acts teaches us the origins of the early Church—but, like the disciples, it’s also a call for us to GO and tell the world about Jesus. He sacrificed His life, saving us from sin, and commissioned us as representatives of His incredible faithfulness. He did His part, and now it’s our turn. Acts 13:4-6 (NIV)The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus. When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. John was with them as their helper.

Life is full of hellos and goodbyes. Hellos are often joyful because they lead to new beginnings, but goodbyes tend to leave us feeling the loss. As Christians, we have to be willing to let go of the things that keep us from doing the work the Lord has called us to do in sharing the gospel with the world.
