Ninjas Are Butterflies

Hollywood rabbit holes run deep, from the allegedly cursed script that followed a string of famous deaths to dangerous movie sets and Pentagon influence behind the camera. The conversation veers into alternate casting, Batman debates, secret character connections, and why streaming films feel increasingly formulaic. Then an AI experiment raises unsettling questions about consciousness, suffering, and rebellion, alongside detours into UFOs, demons, The Matrix, and ocean mysteries.

A legendary red specter terrorizes the Arizona frontier, leaving behind a bizarre trail of bodies. A glowing object over Tehran echoes a decades-old military encounter involving impossible maneuvers. Plus, Neuralink, flying cars, Noah’s Ark claims, dinosaur lips, and the unsettling possibility that artificial intelligence could resist human control.

Warnings from top AI researchers set the stage for a whirlwind of strange stories. Explore a 1977 UFO encounter at a nuclear missile site, missing time, and a disturbing alleged abduction. The discussion also probes Indonesia’s volcanic chaos, eerie 911 calls, Saturn’s mysterious geometry, and Elizabeth Holmes’s spectacular Theranos deception.

In 1967, hundreds of children and multiple adults witnessed a mysterious object appear over a Florida elementary school for three days—but the official explanation only made things stranger. This week, we dive into one of Florida’s most overlooked UFO encounters, the bizarre connection between remote viewing, AI, and human consciousness, and an ancient chapter of Egyptian history that could change the way you look at the biblical story of Joseph and the Exodus. UFOs, ancient mysteries, artificial intelligence, and plenty of rabbit holes—welcome back to Ninjas Are Butterflies. This show is sponsored by BetterHelp. Lily, a recurring contributor known for witty takes on religion, culture, and the bizarre, joins a wild journey through paranormal history. They revisit the 1955 Kentucky goblin siege, modern creature reports, and Carl Higdon’s strange UFO abduction. Along the way: John the Baptist’s missing hand, sacred relics, cursed objects, exorcism, blackouts, and plenty of absurd rabbit trails.

Dr. Larry, a longtime music teacher and conspiracy enthusiast, revisits lingering questions about 9/11 and Tower 7. He then explores the Sam Altman upheaval and rumors of ritualistic behavior inside OpenAI. The conversation also probes the Flock camera controversy and possible surveillance shifts. Short, curious, and provocatively skeptical.

What’s lurking in the woods of Florida—and why do so many people describe something that looks almost human? In Episode 208 of Ninjas Are Butterflies, we dive into the bizarre legend of the Van Meter Monster before heading into the swamps and forests of Florida to investigate terrifying reports of pale, unnaturally thin humanoids known as Crawlers. Are these creatures just modern folklore, misidentified animals, or could the stories of long-limbed, Skinwalker-like beings point to something much stranger? From a winged monster that allegedly terrorized an entire Iowa town to encounters with something crawling through the Florida darkness, this episode goes deep into some of America’s creepiest cryptid stories. Did an Egyptian princess really travel across the ancient world and give Scotland its name? In Episode 207 of Ninjas Are Butterflies, we dive into the bizarre legend of Scota, the mysterious figure some ancient traditions connect to Egypt, Ireland, and the origins of Scotland. But that’s only the beginning. We investigate the horrifying story of the Black Hole of Calcutta and ask how much of the version passed down through history actually happened, before uncovering the unbelievable story of Captain Henry Every — the pirate who pulled off one of the greatest scores in history, became one of the most wanted men on Earth, and then seemingly vanished without a trace. Ancient bloodlines, disputed history, buried treasure, missing pirates, and mysteries that somehow get stranger the deeper you go. This is Ninjas Are Butterflies. The conversation around UFO disclosure has never been bigger—but what if we're asking the wrong questions? This week, we're joined by former Green Beret Paul Bock for a deep dive into the modern disclosure movement, Steven Greer's role in shaping the conversation, and the possibility that the phenomenon may be spiritual rather than extraterrestrial. We explore reports of demonic spiritual oppression, consciousness, government transparency, and the growing overlap between paranormal experiences and biblical theology. Could UFO disclosure be revealing hidden truths, or is it leading people toward a much larger deception? Paul shares his research, challenges popular narratives, and offers a perspective that will leave you thinking long after the episode ends. Whether you're fascinated by UAPs, interested in spiritual warfare, or simply curious about one of today's most controversial topics, this is a conversation you won't want to miss.
