Scars (Part 1) | Do You Have a Victim or a Conqueror Mentality?

No more victim mentality, no more blaming others, and no more excuses–it is time to embrace the truth that you are more than a conqueror in Christ (Romans 8:37). Ready to move from victim to victor? Debbie Stiegler shares how she came to embrace a conqueror mentality as Jesus took her pain and suffering and used it for good. Jesus doesn’t always tell us where to talk in the midst of a painful circumstance and reveal our final destination. Instead, He often says, “Walk.” When we take one step of faith toward our breakthrough, God will show us the next. God doesn’t give us a map. Instead, He gives us a compass. He is in control, but He doesn’t always take control. We take a step, and little by little, our path becomes clear. When we start to journey forward, we will have scars. But God wants us to get beyond surviving and move into a conqueror mentality. “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”—Romans 8:37 Perhaps you’ve gone through circumstances and wonder how God could ever redeem them. Yes, there is hurt, but you are still here. This is proof that your purpose is still set before you. HOW DO YOU MOVE FORWARD? -Accept the now. No one comes out of suffering and loss without scars. It is time to accept them. -Own your story. Don’t pretend your pain didn’t happen. Owning your story allows you to shut the door on shame and guilt. -Embrace the journey. You can be in charge of the narrative of your life. You may not have intended to go through what you have, but you did end up where God intended you to be. LASTLY… · Don’t spend too much time on the villains. They’ve already stolen too much in your life. · Tell the story of the conflict because that’s what develops your character. · Talk about your hero—Jesus. Who pulls you out of the mud and mire and sets your feet on a rock (Psalm 40:2). · Share your growth. Tell others about how your story changed, giving God the glory and releasing good to others. Join Abundant Life as we discuss how to navigate a world of suffering and loss. You are more than a survivor, and your story is not over yet. You are more than a conqueror in Christ. How to Forgive When You’ve Been Hurt

Unforgiveness can hold you hostage. It keeps healing and restoration at bay, and as a result, you can’t walk in the freedom available to you through Jesus. When you know how to forgive, you can live victoriously. WHAT IS FORGIVENESS? Forgiveness is a decision to release the person of the obligation that resulted when they hurt you. This decision to release forgiveness is a process. Satan will try to keep you in bondage to unforgiveness by telling you…. The offense (either yours or others) is too big Time (not God) will heal it You can forgive when the other person says, “I’m sorry” You can’t forgive if you can’t forget If you forgive, they will do it again SO THEN, HOW DO YOU FORGIVE? Join Pastor Chad Glover from Abundant Life as he walks you through 3 steps to forgiveness… Know who you are in Christ. You are an elect of God, holy and beloved (Colossians 3:12). Put on the right stuff. Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience (Colossians 3:12). Choose to forgive. Forgiveness is a choice to bear with one another and forgive as you’ve been forgiven (Colossians 3:13) WHAT FORGIVENESS IS NOT Pastor Chad further explains what forgiveness is NOT… Enabling Rescuing Risking Free Easy Jesus has called us to forgive totally, immediately, and unilaterally. Get Set Free from Guilt and Shame by Understanding Forgiveness

What’s the difference between guilt and shame and godly conviction? What do guilt and shame do to you emotionally, mentally, and physically? They are toxic to your soul and to your body! PSALM 38:3-4 says, “There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your anger, nor any health in my bones because of my sin. For my iniquities have gone over my head; like a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.” Guilt and shame are two things Satan uses to keep us from living an abundant life in Christ. Conviction of sin comes from God. But guilt and shame over past sins already forgiven are never from God. GET SET FREE FROM GUILT AND SHAME The key to removing guilt and shame is understanding forgiveness. You will fully forgive yourself and be free from guilt and shame when you fully believe God forgives you! PSALM 103:11-12 says, “For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” Join Pastor Phil from Abundant Life as he explains how Satan accuses you, causing you to operate out of guilt and shame rather than the forgiveness you have received through Christ. Daniel 12 (Part 4) | Recent Biblical Prophecies Fulfilled

August 14, 2022Hope Beyond the Scope of Impending Apocalypse - Daniel 12The Second Coming of Christ is one of the major themes of the Bible with over 2400 verses describing the events of Christ’s Second Coming. Compare that to the approximately 300 verses that pertain specifically to Christ’s first coming. As we get closer to the time of Christ’s return, many of the prophecies related to His Second Coming will be unsealedand their fulfillment revealed. Daniel 12:9, And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.”As members of the Kingdom, we ought to be watching, ready, and anticipating the return of the King! 1 Thessalonians 5:4, But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. What prophecies related to Christ’s return have recently been unsealed?1) The rebirth of Israel as a nation. Matthew 24:32-34, Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no ‘means pass away till all these things take place.Matthew 21:19, And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.Ezekiel 12:15, Then they shall know that I am the Lord, when I scatter them among the nations and disperse them throughout the countries.Ezekiel 11:16-17, Therefore say, “Thus says the Lord God: ‘Although I have cast them far off among the Gentiles, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I shall be a little sanctuary for them in the countries where they have gone.’” Therefore say, “Thus says the Lord God: ‘I will gather you from the peoples, assemble you from the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.’”Prophecy fulfilled May 15, 1948, when Israel was reborn as a nation! The Balfour Declaration was signed at the end of WW1, November 2, 1917, allowing the Jews to legally return to the Land for the first time since 135 A.D. At the conclusion of WW2, the British gave the Land back to the Jews to form their own sovereign nation. 2) The explosion of human knowledge and technology. Daniel 12:4, But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.Until recently, the world remained largely unchanged for centuries with very little advancement in human knowledge from one generation to the next. If put on a bar graph, the entire amount of cumulative knowledge from the beginning of recorded history to 1845 would be about one inch high.Human knowledge began exploding mid-20th century and is now doubling every two years! The cumulative knowledge today when compared to 1945 would stand more than 28,200 feet tall!3) The revival of the Roman Empire. Daniel 2 predicts a revived Roman Empire. The legs of iron on the image in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream picture the old Roman Empire. The ten toes of iron mixed with clay represent a ten-nation confederation of a future revived Roman Empire.“We felt like Romans on that day. We were conscientiously recreating the Roman Empire.”—Secretary General of NATO after signing the Treaty of Rome  Iron has always been associated with the Roman Empire.Today the first thing visitors see as they enter Brussels, Belgium—capital of the EU—is a 335-foot monument of an iron molecule!4) The rise of “Babylon.” (See Revelation 17:4-5)In the Bible, Babylon symbolizes a satanically driven wicked world system that will unify the nations in opposition to God’s kingdom. Revelation 17 describes the fall of religious Babylon. Revelation 18 describes the fall of commercial Babylon.”Luke 21:28, Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near. There is hope beyond the scope of impending apocalypse! Jesus is our hope! Revelation 22:5, There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

Daniel 12 (Part 2) | Understanding Rewards at the Bema Seat of Christ

Daniel 12 is closely tied to 1 Corinthians 3, telling us that there will come a day when the works of believers will be inspected and tested by fire. God will give rewards at the bema seat of Christ to those who have worked for His kingdom with… · Pure motives · Right conduct · Humble service There are 3 things you need to know about the bema seat of Christ… It’s not for salvation. (1 John 2:2) It’s for believers. (Romans 14:10, 12) It’s for rewards. (2 Corinthians 5:10, Revelation 22:12) Paul writes to the church in Corinth, "...You are God’s building. According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it. But let each one take heed how he builds on it” (1 Corinthians 3:9-10). The bema seat of Christ is about what we build for Christ. Jesus Christ is the foundation of everything we do. “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”—1 Corinthians 3:11 In this sermon, Pastor Chad Glover explains how rewards given at the bema seat of Christ are released. He challenges believers to think about… · What motivates our actions? · What does our conduct reflect? · How do our acts of service glorify God? Daniel 12 | Understanding the Books in Heaven and the Throne of Judgment

Daniel 12 tells us there are 2 books in heaven. God will eventually judge every human being to eternal life or eternal destruction from one of these 2 books. Daniel 12 also tells us that everyone will be resurrected one day after they die—some to eternal life and others to eternal destruction. We will all stand before Jesus as He sits on His throne of judgment, opens the books in heaven, and reveals the names in the 2 books. WHAT ARE THESE 2 BOOKS? · The Lamb’s Book of Life The “Lamb’s Book of Life” records the name of everyone who has received eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. Revelation 21:27 says, “But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.” · The Book of Works The “book of works” records every sinful deed of every person who has died without Christ. Romans 6:23 says, “The wages of sin is death…” The final judgment of those not found in the Lamb’s Book of Life is at the Great White Throne Judgment (See Revelation 20:11-15) In this sermon, Pastor Phil explains Daniel 12:1-3… · How this passage ties to an end-time prophecy · What happens when the 2 books are opened · How your name can be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life Everyone is equal before God—the rich and powerful and the small and insignificant. Let this truth spur us to earnestly seek God and accept the forgiveness of sin offered through Jesus. Do you know Jesus? Daniel 10 | Understanding Spiritual Warfare and the Power of Prayer

Daniel 10 reveals the heavens as a great angelic battlefield. Daniel understood the battle and how to wage war. He entered spiritual warfare through prayer and fasting. Through prayer and fasting, you become a danger to the enemy. Daniel prayed and fasted for 3 full weeks, entering a major battle for his people. Daniel also had a humble heart. His heart of humility prepared him for a revival and to stand in God’s presence. In this sermon, Pastor Phil helps you better understand the power of prayer. It does more than prepare you for the battle. Prayer is the battle. Find out how prayer and fasting release God’s power in the spiritual realm. Pastor Phil also answers these 4 questions about angelic hosts… How does the Bible depict angels? What are the assignments of dispatched angels? What is the “chain of command” among angels? How do angelic armies impact nations, regions, places, and people? It is time to have warfare prayer 1. When you pray, invoke the highest name and the highest authority in the universe. The name of Jesus. 2. Remember, there is value in the volume of prayer. 3. The practice of fasting adds fuel to the power of prayer. Do you want to live in Christ’s victory? Daniel 9 | Understanding God’s Prophetic Clock

July 10, 2022God’s Prophetic Clock – Daniel 9:24-27A biblical prophecy is a prediction about future events that defy the laws of probability. It can only be fulfilledprovidentially. Daniel 9:24-27 is one of the most amazing prophecies in the entire Bible.God gave Daniel a 490-year prophecy relating to the Jews in Daniel 9:24-27. 483 years have been fulfilled; seven years remain to be fulfilled. They are the seven years of tribulation on the earth preceding Christ’s second coming. 483 years were fulfilled culminating with Christ’s first triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The last seven years will be fulfilled culminating with Christ’s second triumphal entry into Jerusalem.Daniel 9:24-25, Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandto restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. Two keys to understand this prophecy:1) These are weeks of years not weeks of days—70 weeks of years (70 x 7) or 490 years. The word translated as “week” is the Hebrew word heptad, and it referred to a unit of 7. The context defines 7 of something – in this case the context refers to 70 units of 7 years.2) God has a prophetic clock, and it stopped when the Jews crucified their Messiah. God’s clock stopped ticking on this prophecy after the 69th week or 483 years were complete when the Jews rejected Christ. It has not ticked now for almost 2000 years. There is still seven years remaining.(God’s prophetic timeline of events goes here in media)Luke 21:24, And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.Romans 11:25, For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.Daniel 9:24-25, Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times.Daniel prophesied the PRECISE day Christ would enter Jerusalem at His triumphal entry!God told Daniel there would be exactly 483 years from the command to rebuild Jerusalem to the coming of the Messiah. While there are debates among scholars about which decree in history should be used, one of the more prominent possibilities was by the Persian King Artaxerxes in the days of Nehemiah—March 14, 445 B.C. as documented by Sir Robert Anderson in his book The Coming Prince. Counting forward 483 Jewish years or exactly 173,880 days brings you to Palm Sunday, April 6, 32 A.D. The day of Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem! Daniel now gives us the profile of the coming world ruler known as the Antichrist.Daniel 9:26, “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined. The coming “prince” is associated with the people (Romans) who destroyed Jerusalem and the Jewish temple in 70 A.D. – he is ruler of a future “revived” Roman Empire. It was the Roman 10th Legion under the command of the Roman general Titus that sacked Jerusalem in 70 A.D.Daniel 9:27, Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate. The coming “prince” will broker a seven-year peace treaty between Israel and her enemies which starts the seven-year countdown toward Armageddon and the second coming of Christ. It’s the signing of this peace treaty, not the rapture, that actually begins the seven-year tribulation—Daniel’s 70th week. With the signing of the seven- year peace covenant God’s prophetic clock will start ticking down the last seven years!(Picture of Jewish Menorah on display near the Western Wall in Jerusalem)Daniel 9:27, Daniel 9:27, Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; but in the middle of the week he shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, is poured out on the desolate.Midway through the tribulation, the Antichrist will break the peace treaty with Israel launching war on the Jews, and proclaiming himself to be God while sitting in the rebuilt Jewish temple. (See Matthew 24:15-22)Matthew 24:15-22, Therefore when you see the “abomination of desolation” spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand), 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the [a]elect’s sake those days will be shortened.God’s prophetic clock is about to start ticking for one last time! Are you ready for eternity
