Meghan Hicks and Bryon Powell of iRunFar, the Hub of Ultrarunning | Koopcast Episode 39

In this episode of the KoopCast Coach Jason Koop speaks with Meghan Hicks and Bryon Powell of iRunFar.This episode of the KoopCast is with two of the linchpins of the ultrarunning community, Meghan Hicks and Bryon Powell of iRunFar. What started as a personal blog now turned into the quintessential reference about all things ultrarunning. They serve as valued stewards of the community and selflessly bring ultrarunning information, inspiration and race coverage, although the latter has been void as of late. I have always admired Bryon and Meghan’s passion for the community and the care that they take with how they approach covering ultrarunning is apparent in this discussion. Resourceswww.irunfar.comOperation inspirationiRunFar.com Patreon

We also spend some time going over how ultrarunning is a fantastic case study in mental fortitude and strategies on how to prevent the dreaded DNF. I think regardless of what kind of endurance athlete you are, ultrarunner or cyclist, you will gain valuable insight into how to step up your mental game. Kristin’s outgoing, pull no punches and insightful demeanor is infectious down to her very laugh that’s punctuated by her subtle beautiful southern drawl.
