Dr. Rico Simonini

Dr. Rico Simonini, MD, is a Cardiovascular Disease specialist in Long Angeles. Rico has been instrumental in helping Michael navigate his heart troubles over the past 15 years including a stroke in 2011 and open heart surgery in 2014. After graduating cum laude from New York University and earning his MD at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine, Simonini postgraduate training includes fellowships at NYU-Bellevue Hospitals, UC San Francisco Medical Center, and the University of Michigan Hospital. He has also received academic/research support from the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association. He has enjoyed a solo practice while on staff at Cedars Sinai and UCLA for nearly 2 decades Dr. Rico also has a little acting experience performing in Films, Television, and theatre. Author Mark Lee Gardner

Mark Lee Gardner has researched and written about the American West since he was in high school. A short time after earning a master's degree in American Studies from the University of Wyoming, Mark became the director of History Colorado's Baca and Bloom Houses in Trinidad. He spent four years running this historic site overlooking the fabled Santa Fe Trail, after which he began his career as an independent historian, consultant, and full-time writer.
