Find scenic spots on Google Maps
August 12, 2023 (Episode 32)Rich talked about finding cool spots to visit using Google Maps and Instagram. On Google Maps, search “scenic spots” and on Instagram search for a city name and then hit Places, then the X to see spots where people are posting the most stories and photos.Rich also talked about using a parking app called SpotHero to secure a parking spot at the Taylor Swift concert. He also talked about how cool the LED bracelets they gave out were, from a company named Pixmob.Rich also wondered how to donate to the Maui relief efforts. Rich recommends checking out WiFi Analyzer apps to scan the area.Disney+ is raising prices again. Avoid tech support scams

When in doubt, press Control + Alt + Delete at the same time on your keyboard, then select your web browser and hit End Task. You can also turn off your computer or restart it. Whatever you do, don’t give access to your computer, or download any software.Jennifer in Laguna Hills wants to know what to do with old cell phones. Rich recommends checking out this list of places that take them as a donation. Rich also likes Gizmogo, Best Buy Mail in Recycling Boxes, EcoATM.Marta in Laguna Nigel wants to know if there’s an Android app that lets you set audio reminders by voice and have it announce the reminder at a certain time. Rich recommended Talking Recordable Voice Alarm, Talking Alarm Clock Beyond and Voice Memo Reminder but all of them require some level of manual time setting for the alarm.
