He became a rising star in the Democratic party with speculation about a presidential run. In 2018 he ran for mayor of Kansas City, but in a dramatic turn dropped out of the race citing symptoms of PTSD and depression.Currently, he co-Hosts with Ravi Gupta the progressive political podcast Majority 54.
