PDT, Inc. was born in my two-car garage in 2000 - a new beginning based on more than 30 years’ experience in the dental industry. Rob founded Watersedge Dental Laboratory in order to offer more than high quality products: its “raison d’être” was to give doctors the calm confidence they need to deliver perfection to their own patients. With over twenty five years of experience in dental technology, Robert knows that the best way for any doctor to navigate new and unfamiliar waters is with an experienced guide. His focus on implant restoration has provided a knowledge base that many dental professionals have come to trust - often calling him in for chair-side assistance during delicate restoration procedures.   Most of Watersedge’s clients have followed Robert throughout his career at many different laboratories in the Ottawa-Gatineau region where he has held both management and production roles. At the age of eighteen, Robert acquired his first laboratory job, polishing crowns, pouring models, and delivering cases. Dr. Steve Hurst was born and raised in San Diego. He graduated from UCLA School of dentistry in 1993 and married his classmate Dr. Bridget Hurst in 1995. He spent  two years with the Public Health Service and four years in a Loan Repayment Program in Central California.    In 2000 Steve and Bridget returned home to San Diego with three kids in tow and currently practices general dentistry with a strong emphasis in Implant dentistry.   Dr. Hurst is a Fellow of the California Implant Institue (CII) and was instrumental in starting CII’s Live Surgical Implant Program in 2012.  The program provides 50 U.S. patients a month with no cost extractions, bone grafting and Nobel Biocare implants. Dr. Hurst is responsible for patient screening, initial CBCT diagnosis, surgical instruction, post-op follow up and final restorations, which include Crown and Bridge, locator over dentures and Full Mouth Fixed restorations.   When he is not working he enjoys surfing and spending time with his wife and 4 kids. Dr. Hines was born and raised in a small community in Iowa. He attended University of Iowa for his undergraduate degree in Integrative Physiology and is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, class of 2010. Upon graduation, Dr. Hines became an associate at a large private practice in Toledo, OH. Dr. Hines associated at this practice for 5 years while he refined his skills and learned how to manage a large private practice.   When Dr. Hines felt he was ready to purchase a practice of his own, he set his sights on Phoenix, AZ where he patiently waited and analyzed available practices. In October 2015, he purchased Dental Care at Moon Valley, a 9-operatory, 3,300 sq ft practice in North central Phoenix. In the short 1 1/2 years of ownership, Dr. Hines has increased collections over 20%, with 2017 projections over 2.1 million. Dr. Hines looks forward to continued growth of his practice and potentially expanding to other parts of the valley.   Dr. Hines has a passion learning dentistry. Dr. Daniel Butterman is a general and cosmetic dentist with a practice emphasis on implant placement and restoration. In his capacity as an Advanced CEREC Trainer, Mentor, and Visiting Faculty for CEREC Doctors, Dr. Butterman has trained other dentists worldwide. In 1994, he graduated with honors form the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. Dr. Butterman also is a graduate of the Misch International Implant Institute, and was awarded the Mastership Certification by the International Dental Implant Association and the Fellowship Certification by the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. John Minichetti is a general dentist who has been placing and restoring implants for over 25 years.   He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID).  He is also an honored fellow of the AAID and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/ Implant Dentistry.    Dr. Minichetti is a former faculty member of Fairleigh Dickenson University and Mt Sinai Medical School, and an attending at Englewood Hospital and Jersey City Medical Center.  He is past president of the Northeast district of the AAID and President of the Bergen County Dental Implant Study Group, Past Co-Director of the NY AAID Study Club at NYU, and past Chairman of the AAID Research Foundation. Dr. Minichetti is a Past- President of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.    Dr. Minichetti is the Director of the Dental Implant Learning Center, where he instructs a year long “mini-residency” for dentists teaching both implant surgery and restoration.  He is also the Director of the Las Vegas AAID Maxicourse ® at UNLV, School of Dental Medicine and the New York AAID Maxicourse ® at St Barnabas Hospital.  He has published numerous scientific articles and lectures worldwide. Linda has been in the field of dentistry for over 30 years.  She has done everything you can do in a dental practice except be a dentist.  Dentistry in her blood and she totally loves the practice of dentistry.  After a career in dentistry, Linda had the opportunity to go to dental consulting school at Mercer Advisors.  Subsequently she opened her own dental consulting firm Dynamic Dental Consulting.  While visiting a prison ministry, Alongside Ministry, she saw many people covering their mouths to talk.  After asking one of the girls if she could see her teeth and examining her mouth she saw one of the worst mouths she had ever seen.   Periodontal disease, broken black teeth and no front teeth.  Linda’s heart was moved and after much prayer she decided she needed to help these people smile again.  She called a dentist that she had worked with, Dr Mark Peck, and asked him what he would think of helping ex-felons get a new lease on life and receive a renewed smile.  He said, “I like it send me one and we will see how it goes.” Mark’s office restored the mouth of one girl and was so excited they said, “We want to give confidence, and a new life to another person.”      At that time, there was no name for this program.  The program started to grow just by word of mouth and began changing lives, One Smile at a Time. With much excitement for the program, Linda dissolved her consulting firm and took this project on full time.  She immediately obtained a 501c3 nonprofit designation and went to the Corporation Commission, formed a board of directors, and Smiles Beyond the Bars was formed.   Linda was recently recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal, was named Woman of the Year by the Nation Association of Professional Woman, and will be recognized on the 20th of July by the Phoenix Rescue Mission for the number of people that Smiles has transformed for them.  Smiles has a recidivism rate of 0%.   www.smilesbeyondthebars.org

Dr. Ancy Verdier is the founder of Worcester Periodontics, a periodontal dental practice located in Worcester , MA where he practices periodontology and implant dentistry.  He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Tufts University, where he served as Student Body President and was the winner of the coveted Wendell Phillips Award (sole student speaker at graduation). Following his graduation, Dr. Verdier completed the post baccalaureate program at Harvard University then matriculated at Tufts University’s School of Dental Medicine.  After receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine, Dr. Verdier completed a prestigious three-year residency program in Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine after which he was awarded Diplomate status by the American Academy of Periodontology.  He also was featured in the magazine Incisal Edge Top 40 Dentist under 40. In October 2017, Dr. Verdier will be inducted as a fellow in the International College of Dentists in Atlanta.   Dr. Verdier is a former teacher at NYU School of Dentistry, Lincoln Hospital GPR Program and Interfaith Hospital GPR program.  He is a frequent speaker at national dental meetings and oral health seminars.  Currently, Dr. Verdier is the Director of The Seattle Study Club of Central New England.
