Before getting to this week’s interview, they discuss last week’s international summits and President Joe Biden’s visit to Poland, all against the backdrop of the ongoing Russian war against Ukraine. Aga and Maciek then sit down with Dr Clara Portela – a Political Science lecturer at the Law School of the University of Valencia and an expert on multilateral sanctions, arms control and EU foreign policy. They discuss the issue of remembrance of the Treaty of Trianon signed in 1921 which is a source of historical trauma for Hungarians. Andrzej explains why the Hungarian perception of the aftermath of World War I and Trianon are different than in other countries of the region.
