How To Keep Your Heart Open In Hell - Ram Dass | After Skool

How To Keep Your Heart Open In Hell - Ram Dass Ram Dass first went to India in 1967. He was still Dr. Richard Alpert, a prominent Harvard psychologist and psychedelic pioneer with Dr. Timothy Leary. He continued his psychedelic research until that fateful Eastern trip in 1967, when he traveled to India. In India, he met his guru, Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharajji, who gave Ram Dass his name, which means “servant of God.” Everything changed then – his intense dharmic life started, and he became a pivotal influence on a culture that has reverberated with the words “Be Here Now” ever since. Ram Dass’ spirit has been a guiding light for three generations, carrying along millions on the journey, helping to free them from their bonds as he works through his own.Since 1968, Ram Dass has pursued a panoramic array of spiritual methods and practices from potent ancient wisdom traditions, including bhakti or devotional yoga focused on the Hindu deity Hanuman; Buddhist meditation in the Theravadin, Mahayana Tibetan, and Zen Buddhist schools, and Sufi and Jewish mystical studies. Perhaps most significantly, his practice of karma yoga or spiritual service has opened up millions of other souls to their deep, yet individuated spiritual practice and path. Ram Dass continues to uphold the boddhisatva ideal for others through his compassionate sharing of true knowledge and vision. His unique skill in getting people to cut through and feel divine love without dogma is still a positive influence on many people from all over the planet.Learn more at https://www.ramdass.org/Full lecture of this audio can be heard here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjh1BAG5Pfs&t=3556sPlease consider supporting After Skool on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/AfterSkoolVisit our site at https://www.afterskool.net/Check out the new After Skool prints! https://after-skool.creator-spring.com/Or send us an email at afterskool100@gmail.comPlease share, like, comment, subscribe and hit the notifications bell so you don't miss future videos. What Happens When You Only Pursue Pleasure - Alan Watts | After Skool

What Happens When You Only Pursue Pleasure - Alan Watts The goal of this channel has always been to take the most empowering ideas and enhance them with art. Creating videos like this is my purpose on earth. When you find your purpose, nothing will stop you, because...the purpose is bigger than you. I don't care if I get paid to make these videos. The satisfaction of creating something like this exceeds any amount of fame or fortune. I hope you enjoy this and share it around. And I wish you all the best in finding your purpose. Alan Wilson Watts (6 January 1915 – 16 November 1973) was a British-American philosopher who interpreted and popularized Eastern philosophy for a Western audience. Watts proposed that Buddhism could be thought of as a form of psychotherapy and not a religion. His thought provoking lectures aim to answer life's greatest mysteries and are more relevant today than ever before. TIME IS SPEEDING UP - Terence McKenna | After Skool

TIME IS SPEEDING UP - Terence McKenna Terence Kemp McKenna (November 16, 1946 – April 3, 2000) was an American ethnobotanist, mystic, psychonaut, lecturer, author, and an advocate for the responsible use of naturally occurring psychedelic plants. He spoke and wrote about a variety of subjects, including psychedelic drugs, plant-based entheogens, shamanism, metaphysics, alchemy, language, philosophy, culture, technology, environmentalism, and the theoretical origins of human consciousness. McKenna formulated a concept about the nature of time based on fractal patterns he claimed to have discovered in the I Ching, which he called novelty theory, proposing this predicted a transition of consciousness in the year 2012. His promotion of novelty theory and its connection to the Maya calendar is credited as one of the factors leading to the widespread beliefs about 2012 eschatology.A BIG special thank you to Lubomir Arsov for the incredible animation at the end.
