Today I sit down with Lance Bennett, a Co-Founder of Advanced Genomic Solutions. Lance is a West Point graduate and decorated US Army Intelligence officer where he was stationed both in the United States and Southest Asia. He has been in the medical device and biotech industry since leaving the military and joining his first medical device company, KLS Martin. He has spent nearly 20 years in sales, management and executive leadership positions in the biotech industry, most notably at Amgen, the world's largest biotech company. He led multiple product launches for oncology and nephrology medications and was awarded the company's top honor of Chairman's Circle four years running as a sales executive and sales director. Since leaving Amgen, Lance has started several successful medical companies, including Advanced Medical Diagnostics (AMD), a diagnostic testing company. After residency, she received additional training in aesthetic procedures through the International Aesthetic Foot Society. Her podiatry practice caters to runners, athletes, and busy working professionals, who may not have the time or means of easily getting in to see the doctor. She is available for in-office visits, but her house-call & telemedicine services also allow for her to see her patients when it is more convenient for them. Background: Jennifer started running at the age of three, was a 5-time All-Conference & All-State cross-country runner in high school, and was named the North Dakota Senior Athlete of the Year in Cross Country in 2002. She continued to run in college, but after sustaining her fourth foot fracture, she stopped competing, temporarily, to focus on her education. These fractures, though, were a catalyst for her focus on podiatric medicine and for her passion and drive in getting athletes back to their optimal health and sporting potential.
