House Tarth and the Sapphire Isle
Tarth, nicknamed the Sapphire Isle, is a beautiful island in Shipbreaker Bay, and has long been a part of the Stormlands. Eons ago they had their own kings with both First Man and Andal ancestry, but the rulers of Tarth have always been dubbed “the Evenstar”, and have resided in Evenfall Hall while maintaining strength at sea. Island folk are always at least a little different from mainlanders and they are no exception. Lady Stoneheart: The Revenant of the Riverlands
Of all the huge surprises and payoff moments in A Storm of Swords, the Lady Stoneheart reveal at the end of the epilogue is perhaps the most unexpected. The young leaders of Thebes retook their city from Sparta, but aimed for more. Nearby Athens had recovered much of the strength that enabled them to rule a Mediterranean empire. It is at this stage where our 3 powerful city states all aim for supremacy at the same time. Power seeks power, and advantageous alliances were to be forged with kingdoms to the north and east. But the rulers of those kingdoms had plans of their own. We’ll see a new generation of heroes emerge whose deeds live on 2400 years later. Lord Edric Dayne: Squire to the Undead
Sent to be a page for Lord Beric Dondarrion at the age of 7, Edric Dayne was eventually raised to squire. Edric clearly took to the Lightning Lord, perhaps even looked up to him. Even after his father died, Edric stayed with Lord Beric, Even after Lord Beric died… Edric stayed with Lord Beric. He’s brave, shy and has a destiny difficult to divine due to his age and the 5 year gap. Nevertheless, he is Lord of Starfall, a house with compelling mysteries both ancient and recent.
