200 - Triangle of Sadness
Andreas Franck and Bent Holm join us to talk about their work as Supervising Sound Editors and Re-Recording Mixers on director Ruben Östlund's amazing new film - Triangle of Sadness. They tell us about how they used sound to juxtapose expected emotions and add lots of humour. A major scene in the film involves a yacht caught in a massive destructive storm, but we never see an exterior shot, leaving the sound to carry the heavy load of conveying the power of the weather outside. This is a fun talk.

198 - The Bear
We talk with the sound team from our favourite show of the year – The Bear. They tell us about how they built the chaos of the restaurant kitchen in the series, editing dialog where everyone is yelling at the same time in a small space, and the many, many grocery store trips the foley team had to go on to create all the food sounds in the show. Steve Giammaria (re-recording mixer/supervising sound editor), Annie Taylor (Supervising Foley Editor) and Evan Benjamin (Dialog Editor) break it all down for us.
