Premium Episode 81: Ira ‘the Unicorn’ Einhorn pt. 1, or, Maximum Jeopardy at All Times, feat. Reid

[originally published on Patreon Dec 29, 2023] Today I'm joined by Reid (@seriations) to discuss maybe the most conceited man in the world - Ira 'the Unicorn' Einhorn. In this episode, we get into Einhorn's family history and early life, his time studying to be a guru, and his work as a snitch and informant. I lost my damn mind researching a related figure, Weldon Melick, who very much appears to be Something, but what that Something is, isn't entirely clear to me. Then we get into Einhorn's drug dealing and drug usage, which also got me sidetracked with a brief yet interesting parapolitical history of DMT. [note: my buddy Luke Marshall had only just launched his podcast when we recorded this episode, so I accidentally referred to it as "Things Unsolved" when his podcast is "Things Observed"] Songs: Motherly Love by the Mothers of Invention Venus in Furs by the Velvet Underground Absolutely Free by the Mothers of Invention Hungry Freaks, Daddy by the Mothers of Invention

Premium Episode 80 - Plantation Accounting in the Deep South

[originally published on Patreon Dec 15, 2023] After having introduced accounting concepts and laid out their applications in Jamaica, I continue my close reading of Accounting for Slavery: Masters and Management by Caitlin Rosenthal. I discuss the nature of 'book farming', the nature and origin of value, and discuss the ubiquity of King Cotton in the US and world economy. I cover the fungibility of labor, perverse concepts of depreciation, and get into the postbellum developments in the wake of the abolition of slavery. Finally, I discuss Rosenthal's background and the nature of McKinsey Consulting. episode art by Robert Voyvodich @r.voy__ Songs: My Queen is Harriet Tubman by Sons of Kemet It's A Sin To Be Rich, It's A Low-Down Shame To Be Poor by Lightnin' Hopkins Lord, Have Mercy On Me by Junior Kimbrough

Premium Episode 79 - Plantation Accounting in Jamaica

[originally published on Patreon Dec 9, 2023] Having laid out various accounting concepts, I now introduce their application in a horrible setting: plantation accounting in Jamaica. To do this, I rely on a close reading of Accounting for Slavery: Masters and Management by Caitlin Rosenthal. Her work simply demolishes the traditional business history about the development of these concepts. As it turns out, slave plantations actually led the global economy in new developments of field and factory regarding management styles, industrialization, organizational structure, accounting methods, and a number of other things.  I discuss the nature of the sugar trade, questions of efficiency, the weaponization of data, the question of absentee ownership, and the nature of quantification itself.  episode art by Robert Voyvodich @r.voy__ Songs: My Queen is Ada Eastman by Sons of Kemet Great Britain by Scorzayzee

Premium Episode 76 - Trotskyism pt. 4: Programmed to Split, Cannon, Schactman, Dobbs, Hoffa, Teamsters, and Bag Fumbling, feat. Comrade Chad

[originally published on Patreon Nov 17, 2023] Today I'm rejoined by Comrade Chad to discuss post-Trotsky Trotskyism in the US, especially their penchant for attacking communism 'from the left'. Comrade Chad walks us through some of the theory and vocabulary necessary. Then we zero in on James Cannon, Max Schactman and James Burnham in particular. We attempt to explain the theoretical positions this entailed within both Trotskyism. Marxism, and Cold War geopolitics before explaining their actions in the labor movement. Along the way we discuss Farrell Dobbs, Jimmy Hoffa, Joseph Hansen, Burnham's theoretical works, the Congress for Cultural Freedom, and much more. episode art by Robert Voyvodich @r.voy__ Songs: Teamster Power by Tex Williams After You’ve Gone by the Toshiko Akiyoshi Trio Moiritat (Mack the Knife) by Sonny Rollins

Bonus Episode 68: the American Security Council, Edward Lansdale, Hollywood New Left Ops, and Stanford Psychotronic Weapons, feat. Recluse

[originally published on Patreon Nov 10, 2023) Today I'm joined by S. William Snider aka Recluse (@RecluseS9) to discuss his third and recent book, The Art: The Secret History of Psywar, Conspiritainment and the Shattering of Reality (2023). The book spans centuries  and really speaks for itself, but he and I discuss various things in it ranging from the American Security Council, Edward Lansdale, psychological operations in Hollywood and against the New Left, and we even find time to discuss psychotronic weaponry.  Note: Recluse refers to an upcoming, as-yet-unreleased appearance on P2C, but I didn't splice it out because it would have cut out his train of thought, lol. episode artwork is the book's cover, used w/ permission from the author Links: https://thefarmpodcast.store/ https://visupview.blogspot.com/ https://www.patreon.com/thefarmpodcastII/posts  https://programmed-to-chill.myshopify.com/ Devil’s Work by Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats

Premium Episode 75: Another View of Israel Keyes, the Deadbeat Dirtbag Serial Killer, feat. Min

[originally published on Patreon Oct 6, 2023] Today I'm joined by Min (@mintherose) to discuss several aspects of Israel Keyes that have developed after the publication of the two books, and things I did not get into in the first three episodes. In particular, we look at the possibility of Keyes being a huge fucking loser, separate from the whole serial killing thing. Along the way we go into underreported sex worker and Native American victims, the coverup, and new developments in the case. artwork by @DEEP_RED_BELLS Songs: Sinnerman performed by Nina Simone Bad Kids by Black Lips Stinky Man by Graduating Life

I talk about the US attorney prosecuting Keyes and the potential prosecutorial misconduct including bizarre treatment, handling of evidence, and "a unicorn of a deal secretly made at the highest levels of government". Keyes began confessing to the FBI. I go through Keyes' known travels and movements. Terrorism comes into the plot. Then, Keyes commits suicide and everything is wrapped up - no further questions remaining. Premium Episode 73 - FBI vs. PTK pt. 9: Israel Keyes part 2: American Gladio and somehow yet more OKC Bombing Connections

[originally published on Patreon Sep 29, 2023] Continuing with the Keyes story, I pick up on his personal life and the circumstances of his move to Alaska. I discuss the Church of Wells, the cult which his parents and siblings joined. Then there are the bank robberies, then the kill kits and the kidnappings. I discuss the theories that Keyes was the Boca Killer, and then we get to the formal serial killings leading up to the Samantha Koenig case, which was the case for which he was caught and arrested. I discuss the circumstances of his arrest, the police's early discoveries, and the unique route they chose to extradite him.
