Synchronised planning - realtime integrated planning for supply chains - a chat with David Vallejo

Send me a messagePlanning is a fundamental part of supply chains, and while I have had some customers on the podcast who refer to their use of planning, I haven't had an episode dedicated to the topic of planning, and how it is needing to go more realtime in these disrupted times.Consequently, I invited David Vallejo (@SAPVallejo on Twitter) to come on the podcast to have a deep dive into planning - where it is today, and how the requirements to be more nimble means supply chain planning is rapidly needing to go to cloud, and integrate with other functions, and organisations. This new vision of planning is called Synchronised Planning - and you heard about it here first folks ;)David and I had a great chat, and as ever, I learned loads. End to end visibility at the Coca Cola Company - a chat with Jeff Markey

Send me a messageI came across the Coca Cola Company's VP Supply Chain, Jeff Markey at one of our customer council meetings where he gave an excellent presentation on what he called their Project Contour - a project to get total end-to-end visibility throughout their supply chain.I reached out to Jeff subsequently to ask if he'd be willing to share that info with the Digital Supply Chain podcast audience, and he said he'd be delighted to, and so here we are! I think you can tell we both had an excellent time putting this podcast together - I loved Jeff's expression "the speed of need". Enjoy. I really enjoyed putting this podcast together, I hope you enjoy listening to it. Digital Vehicle Hub - what's that, and why would I want one - a chat with Mukund Rao and Andreas Klaschka

Send me a messageSAP released a new product on Wednesday of this week called the Digital Vehicle Hub DVH. To find out what that is, and what I might want one for (!) I invited Mukund Rao, a Director in SAP's Automotive Business Unit, and Andreas Klaschka SAP's Digital Vehicle Hub Solution Owner, to come on the podcast to explain all.The DVH is a repository for all the data coming off the sensors we find increasingly in cars. This is a fascinating idea with use cases for vehicle re-sale value, insurance, and fleet management, amongst other topics. This was a cool podcast on a topic I am really interested in (automotive - especially because it is being so disrupted right now). Risk management in times of Covid - a chat with Linx-AS CEO Jeff Frye

Send me a messageThis is one of thise podcasts which took an unexpected turn - check it out to see why...For obvious reasons SAP is holding its annual Enterprise, Health, Safety, and Product Compliance event online this year - the good news is that this means you too can attend 😀 You no longer need to book days off, find an hotel, fly to the nearest airport, etc. You can now just register to attend, block the time in your calendar for the relevant talks, and get access to global experts in this area.Even better, I convinced another of the global experts who will be speaking at the event, Jeff Frye Founder and CEO of Linx-AS to come on the podcast to talk risk management in the age of Covid-19. He was in a position to speak about this from a very personal perspective, as I discovered during the podcast...I really enjoyed putting this podcast together, I hope you enjoy listening to it. I’ve been using Snipd for about a year and this app has been life changing. I listen to about 17 hours of podcasts a week and I want to take notes on 95% of them. Snipd makes it so easy to do. I can triple click my headphones and record a snip. The app also improves rapidly which is welcomed. It’s an easy subscription for me to pay.
