Edd's British Grand Prix road trip to two F1 factories

Ahead of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, join Edd Straw for a special road trip taking in a pair of F1 factories in the UK’s famous ‘motorsport valley’. First, Edd pays a visit to Alpine’s HQ in Enstone as the team plays host to the launch of the Alpine A110 S 'Enstone edition' road car. You’ll hear Edd chat to Pierre Gasly, team boss Otmar Szafnauer, and technical director Matt Harman as they look ahead to the team's ‘home’ race. After that, Edd jumps back in his car and drives south to Williams’ base in Grove for ‘a night at the museum’, where hears from the likes of team boss James Vowles and casts his eye over several British GP winners in the team’s incredible heritage car collection. And finally, before setting off home, Edd gives us a rundown of storylines to look out for over the weekend.Follow The Race on Instagram, Twitter and FacebookCheck out our latest videos on YouTubeDownload our app on iOS or AndroidClick here to join The Race Members' Club and have the opportunity to ask a question on the showGo to grammarly.com/GO to download and learn more about GrammarlyGO Hosted on Acast. The upcoming F1 decision that could have a massive impact on racing

For many F1 fans, tyres are a boring necessity - essential to the sport, but dull to talk about. On this episode of the pod (which we promise is far from dull), Edd Straw is joined by Scott Mitchell-Malm and Glenn Freeman to explain why, with Bridgestone interested in returning to F1 in place of Pirelli, fans should be very interested in what tyres the cars are running in the future. They also debate whether F1 would benefit from another ‘tyre war’, where rival tyre manufacturers would vie for supremacy rather than every team using the same rubber.Follow The Race on Instagram, Twitter and FacebookCheck out our latest videos on YouTubeDownload our app on iOS or AndroidClick here to join The Race Members' Club and have the opportunity to ask a question on the showGo to Indochino.com and use code RACE to get 10% off any purchase of $399 or moreSign up for a Chime Checking Account today to link your paycheck. Why Ferrari won at Le Mans but is failing in F1

Scott Mitchell-Malm and Sam Smith join Edd Straw to discuss Ferrari’s much celebrated victory at the Le Mans 24 Hours, and ask why the marque got it right at the first time of asking in the world’s biggest endurance race, but continually miss the mark in F1. Are there lessons Ferrari’s F1 operation can learn from their sportscar squad? Will we see Charles Leclerc racing for the team at Le Mans sooner rather than later? Does success breed success?
