Mauli Junior Bonner talks epic black mormon history with Cardon Ellis, Kwaku El, and Brad Witbeck.  Seriously... this was a totally cool podcast!  Everybody has heard something about the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but not some of the most engrossing, inspiring, and intense stories of early black members of the church whose faith endured some of the most intense crucibles of doubt on earth!

Apparently, a new movement of Latter-Day Saints, a splinter group has formed, gained prominence, and is posting media, documentaries, and persuasive content suggesting an alternative history to the mainstream narrative understood by most Latter-Day Saints.  They suggest the church lost the Melchezideck Priesthood in 1834, per scripture, they believe the martyrdom of Joseph Smith was staged by friends in betrayal, not the mob and that modern prophets have lost their spriritual gifts and one must concentrate on excersizing the aaronic Priesthood and the baptism of fire and Spirit until Joseph Smith returns with the keys.  Whether you believe it or not or don't even know the history well enough to tell, this one was INTERESTING.  We present you Jacob Isbell and the Doctrine of Christ movement, seemingly led by Phil Davis, the chocolatier.
