They break down strategies for overcoming the worst parts of modern dating and shed light on the #1 thing you need to go ever forward in your relationship, whether you’re single or partnered. As the world changes, we change, and our relationships change, too. That’s why it’s important that we become more aware of how to better be in relationship with ourselves and others. This week’s guest is helping people do that while also putting an end to bad first dates. Mia Lux is the Co-Founder and CEO of La Vette Social Club, the world’s first intentional dating platform for self-aware singles. Above all, Mia Lux is a lover of good love. Follow Mia Lux @mymialux Follow Chase on Instagram @chase_chewning Follow him on Twitter @chasechewning Key Highlights Most dating apps on the market are built just like social media, programmed to grab your attention and keep you on the platform, not to cultivate deep love and healthy relationships. Listen in to learn how this inspired Mia to intentionally end her marriage and start La Vette Social Club. Oftentimes, the hardest part of dating is finding people whose values align yours. Also, one of the biggest mistakes people make while dating is sticking to a “type”. That’s why it’s so powerful to understand your own values as well as how you want to feel in a relationship. La Vette connects singles via 100% video, no photos. They also vet their users with background checks. Mia breaks down the benefits of using this model, shares her secret for getting amazing first dates, and reveals how La Vette prevents ghosting. Chase speaks on how he creates a safe space for others to share about themselves and feel more connected to each other. Mia sheds light on the components of ever-lasting love and the two factors to knowing whether the person you’re with is the one or not. What do women want from men? How can I approach dating with radical honesty? Mia has some very intriguing answers! Kindra sheds light on how stories influence your daily life, your career/business, your relationships, and the people around you. She also gives advice and strategies for overcoming the negative stories that are holding you back from being your best self. Choose your story, change your life. Kindra Hall is a keynote speaker, best-selling author, and the go-to expert for storytelling in business and beyond. Kindra is also the Chief Storytelling Officer at Success Magazine where she shares the inspiring, often untold, stories of achievers like Daymond John, Deepak Chopra, James Altucher, and Misty Copeland in print and on the podcast, Success Stories with Kindra Hall. Follow Kindra Hall @kindrahall Follow Chase on Instagram @chase_chewning Follow him on Twitter @chasechewning Key Highlights We become our stories. We’re made up of stories. What does that mean? Listen in as Kindra breaks it down and shares a fun exercise you can do to see how many stories you’re made up of and how those stories have shaped you. Fear, especially fear of failure, often comes from the stories we’ve subconsciously held onto for our entire lives. This leads to inaction, stagnancy, and a lack of growth. How can we overcome this? If we look at what influences us, there might be a story behind why we’re influenced by those things… Listen in to hear Chase and Kindra’s thoughts on this intriguing phenomenon. Kindra speaks on whether or not we need to be mindful of how our stories passively influence others. If you’re struggling with the emotions from old stories and the struggle is keeping you stuck, ask yourself: Are there stories since that time that exhibit the characteristics that I want to become, that I’m working towards, or that I’m proud of? Show yourself the receipts to prove that you have evolved from those old stories. It is normal for people in your life to serve different purposes, and one person cannot meet all your needs. May talks about managing her expectations for people and how she categorizes people now. It is okay to let go of people who are not serving you in your life. Chase and May talk about their views on setting boundaries, moving on from some people, even family, and their thoughts on divorce as a solution to relationship problems.
