According to court filings, THREE DAYS before Mica’s death, JP asked this church member to write “Dedicated to Mica” on the website of the church’s Dare2Care program, a mission that was important to Mica. Turns out May 2 was a very bad day for JP Miller. Not only did he have to explain himself to his partners at the Myrtle Beach bar he had a stake in, he seemed to be on a war path as he pointed his finger at Heather Wilson, his alleged former ally at Horry County Police Department. JP — demonstrating once again that he thinks the police work directly for him — wanted the department to investigate Heather for Mica’s death because she is the mother of the man Mica was hanging out with on March 11 and the man who JP later called and berated. Mandy and Liz share the first installment of the texts and emails that came back from reporter Beth Braden’s FOIA for communications between JP and the police. Also on the show, we'll look at the waterfront home in Myrtle Beach that Wayne Miller had financial ties to and who ultimately came into possession of the home. Less than three years before Mica Francis’ body was found in a North Carolina swamp after her alleged suicide, there was another strange death near Solid Rock at Market Common, the Myrtle Beach church that belonged to Mica’s husband Pastor JP Miller. That’s the death of Chris Skinner, the 41-year-old quadriplegic man who was married to the woman JP was allegedly having an affair with at the time — the same woman JP has routinely been photographed with since Mica’s death in April.Chris was found in his wheelchair at the bottom of his neighborhood pool. Investigative journalists Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell take a look at Chris’ inspiring story of determination and hope — at who he was BEFORE he entered into JP’s ecosystem in 2018.
