FMM047 - When you need to slow down to speed up
Wake up. Music. Work. Sleep. Repeat. Does this seem familiar? With everything going on in our lives, it’s easy to fall into a trance and lose clarity on what we are trying to achieve day to day. Sometimes the best thing we can do is take a step back and take time to reflect on our progress, reset and go back at it again with a clear head. Having a source of ‘white space’ is essential for gaining this clarity on what you need to do next to tackle and achieve your goals. In this episode, I talk about the importance of finding some inspiration time or ‘white space’ in your routine, so that you can reassess your daily goals and make the most of your time in the studio. Key Takeaways: “Finding your white space and resting your mind can help you find the answers you need” “When you are living your life and you're in a trance, you are missing opportunities because you don't take a moment to just step back and see the bigger picture.” The importance of using your white space to reassess your goals and your plans. Using your white space to improve your efficiency and efficacy

FMM046 - Don't Procrastinate Your Life Away
This week we’re going to be tackling one of the oldest enemies of success:PROCRASTINATION One of the things that all top producers do, without fail is make the most of their time in the studio. Now, if you procrastinate a lot, then you simply will not make it in the music industry and you will not reach your version of success. In this episode, I tackle procrastination head on and I give you the three core strategies that ensure they are super efficient and see a high output of music for the amount of time you put into the studio. I teach these 3 strategies to all of my FMM members. The most successful and productive ones deliver this day in, day out and maximise every minute of production time they have available. Key Takeaways: “If you procrastinate a lot, then it will be impossible for you to make it in the music industry” “Successful people are just people with successful habits” Get a workflow system and stick with it. “If you're not consistent, you are forgotten.” Build accountability into your life. FMM045 - When you say music is your life but you don't act like it.
“Music is my passion!”“I live for my music!”“Music is what I want to do with my life and I will do whatever it takes!” Sound like you? If you’ve said all these things before but you take actions that simply do not back it up, then it’s time to take a step back and start being honest with yourself. In this episode, I talk about one very powerful word that once you fully understand, will enable you to push forward and hit all of your goals…INTEGRITYIntegrity is important in everything we do. When we have integrity, we are staying true to ourselves and we end up motoring towards our goals and living our life the way we want to. If you lack integrity, you’re always going to be feeling like there’s something missing and you’re going to be frustrated and uncomfortable with your life. Integrity can be the key to your success, so check out what I have to say in this podcast and start to make changes in your approach to securing your life dreams. Key Takeaways: “If you are feeling emotional pain, restlessness, frustration, pressure, discomfort around your music, then you are living a life that is out of alignment with who you are and who you really want to be.” “Integrity is all about living true to who you are and who you want to be” You can’t expect the people around you to support you when they can sense that you are not in integrity. Be honest with yourself and spot your “Yeah, but…” moments and address it head on.

Now you’ve paid for the cheap and the expensive version and lost a bunch of your time in the process… More than often, investing in the higher quality, more expensive option should have been your first choice and would have prevented this fiasco in the first place! So what option should you choose when investing in yourself, your music and all other areas of your life? It’s exactly the same game! If you choose the cheap option, you immediately pay the price and more often than not, it’ will cost you a lot more than your initial investment. In this episode, I discuss how you should always strive to invest in the highest quality additions to your life at the very start and how you can push yourself to afford it, no matter what! Imagine finishing a track, thinking it’s a banger and finally, sending it out to a label. Only to be told one week later…“Sorry, not for us.”Rejection isn’t pleasant, nobody enjoys being rejected, but we can choose to learn from it rather than taking the rejection hard and letting it fuel negative emotions and self doubt. In this episode, I’m going to share with you a different perspective when it comes to dealing with rejection to help you gain some clarity and confidence to help you get over your fear of rejection and get your music out to the world. Key Takeaways: Quality VS Taste: “Just because your track gets rejected, it doesn't mean it's low quality. Do your homework.“It’s a numbers game and you've just got to find the right home for your music.” “Nobody enjoys rejection, it’s how we deal with it that counts”
