Hazel on How to To Do It Anyway
Episode Summary
This week on Live Like the the World is Dying, Inmn talks with Hazel about the zine How To Do It Anyway: a guide to self-managing an abortion at home. You can read the zine for free at tangledwilderness.org
Links
All-Options is a reproductive rights organization that providing support and resources to all pregnancy, parenting, abortion, and adoption experiences, and they really need our help right now! In the zine, I plug their talk line that offers an unbiased, judgement free and open-hearted support from trained peer supporters, as well as a program offering spiritual counseling from abortion-positive faith leaders. They also run several practical support programs in their home state of Indiana, including an abortion fund, a diaper network, and a pregnancy resource center (where people can get help with diapers, period products, birth control, and abortion funding, all at the same time!). They really fill a critical gap in abortion access and general repro care, but they (like many abortion orgs) are feeling the crunch of non-profit industrial complex money drying up around abortion: they face a very real chance of closing by the end of June 2025. Especially as the full effects of a second Trump presidency begin to hit us, it's critical to support independent, locally based Reproductive Justice and abortion access groups. If you want to help them keep their doors open as long as possible, head to: https://www.all-options.org.
