What is The Pond?

In this episode, we talk about a project we have been working on for a long time at Yunt Capital, The Pond. We are super excited to announce the release of The Pond, a media platform built by a community of crypto natives to share and document the collective experience of working and interacting within Web3. http://thepond.wtfThe Pond allows us to fold in new writers and content creators to expand our areas of expertise and the amount of incredible content we can offer. Ultimately, we hope this grassroots initiative becomes a space for us to share ideas. We aim for The Pond to be a full-stack Web3 content hub where we’re looking to publish the best writers and content producers in the space to drop knowledge about crypto, NFTs, and Web3 gaming. It’s going to be a place where anyone from the noobiest noobs to the in-the-trenches degens can come to read up on what’s happening and what’s coming in crypto. If you enjoyed the episode, please subscribe, rate, and share so we can continue to get amazing, alpha-dropping guests. We plan to release episodes bi-weekly, so don't sleep!  Find The Pond on Twitter @ThePondWTF. You can find the pod on Twitter @GoodWillYunting As always, Yunt Hard, Yunt Fast, Yunt Capital.  Disclaimer: Nothing said on this podcast is advice or a solicitation to buy or sell any assets or tokens. The Future of Crypto with Xan Ditkoff and Bew

In the first GoodWill Yunting episode of 2023, we have on with us Xan, a friend and all-around crypto killer who has been involved in more projects than Vitalik himself. We start by discussing Xan’s extensive background and breadth of experience in the crypto space. We then dive into one of his favorite projects, Stacks, and what they are building on top of Bitcoin. Next, we discuss this bear market compared to previous ones, and how one can ‘make it’ in crypto—hint, the key is survival. We get into our reactions to the FTX hack and how we can move past it for the better. After talking about how crypto makes us feel like kids again, we bring up what projects and innovations excite us, including NFTs and the future of Web3 gaming. We then pivot to more philosophical questions of what is the true tie between crypto and Twitter and what would happen if we lost Twitter. What would crypto look like without CT? Finally, we do a speed round of questions that I’ve been pondering lately, all of which Xan gives excellent answers to. This episode is a fun, informative, and a great piece of hopium at a time when all seems lost, so tune in today!  If you enjoyed the episode, please subscribe, rate, and share so we can continue to get amazing, alpha-dropping guests. FTX Fallout: Fraud, Trust, and Regulation

In this episode, I bring on four other Yunts to discuss what happened with FTX, what it means for our industry, and what the future of crypto looks like moving forward. We start by discussing what actually happened and some of the initial fallout we have seen. We then get into how this will affect user and normie trust going forward, and what this means for the future adoption of crypto. Next, we discuss the possible/plausible regulations that will come from this on both the traditional and DeFi side. We discuss what some of SBFs motives could have been, and how bad this collapse is compared to past crypto events. We end on a more positive note where we announce the release of our new full-stack education platform, called The Pond, a website that will be the go-to content hub for everyone from the noob to the most degen. If you enjoyed the episode, please subscribe, rate, and share so we can continue to get amazing, alpha-dropping guests. Outsmarting Risk with Rysk

In this new GoodWill Yunting episode, we have the brilliant, options gurus Ugolino, Jib, and Degeneral of the incredible protocol that Yunt was an investor in, Rysk Finance. Rysk Finance is a complex new protocol that uses options strategies to create uncorrelated yield for users. Our friends from Rysk break down how this is possible, their big-brain DHV vault, in what ways yield searchers and degen traders can use Rysk, and much more. They help break down what options are, what beta is, and how they can be utilized to create uncorrelated yields in crypto. We also discuss on-chain options as they stand, how they could look in the future, what Rysk is looking to build out in the future, and the future of yield and options in DeFi. We then move onto their view of markets and how Rysk can give you returns regardless of which direction the market is going without holding heavy exposure. Of course, as the name suggests, no yield is without risk, so they discuss how Rysk approaches this for its users and the protocol itself. Don’t sleep on this episode that nearly made my brain explode with knowledge!  If you enjoyed the episode, please subscribe, rate, and share so we can continue to get amazing, alpha dropping guests. Underwater w/ GWY: DAOs and Down Markets

In the second installment of this new mini-series, Bew and I discuss the pitfalls of DAOs compared to companies and the original vision of the opportunities they allowed. We discuss the pros and cons of DAOs, some of the recent drama surrounding them, as well as what opportunities and areas of experimentation we would like to see around DAOs in the future. Next we move onto our thoughts about the merge, if it will be bullish or bearish, and how it affects ETH price long term. Of course, we would be remiss to not discuss the state of the markets, and the true and false ideas around the almighty 'Macro'. We each share our thoughts on the short term and long term landscape for coins and what strategies might be best for surviving this bear market and thriving in the next bulla.  Finally we finish with our ending segment where we drop some of our favorite tweets of the week!If you enjoyed the episode, please subscribe, rate, and share so we can continue to get amazing, alpha dropping guests. Deus Dex Machina: Talking CrocSwap ft. Doug and Sath

Sath and I sit down with the genius Doug from CrocSwap to talk all things Dexs, market making, and DeFi innovation. CrocSwap is a soon-to-be-released Decentralized Exchange hoping to steal market share from the biggest players by offering both concentrated and ambient Uni V2 style liquidity. Doug discusses why this model is better for projects, traders, and price discovery alike. We discuss how CrocSwap thinks about High-Frequency Trading, Just in Time Liquidity, MEV, LPs as market makers, and more. Along with this innovation, CrocSwap tackles the problem of LPs rarely making money by implementing many unique, never-before-seen features to make LPs profitable again. Doug outlines why CrocSwap is the better pick for traders, projects, and LPs alike—and how their single contract build, unique liquidity structures, and new Dex features will change the game as we know it. This episode is filled with so much alpha on everything from what it means to be a trader, an LP, a Dex, and a protocol in DeFi. Underwater with GWY: NFT NYC

In this new mini-series, Bew and I chat about our thoughts about NFT NYC, how each project faired, what we saw that was bullish or bearish for the space, and meeting all our favorite CT friends. We begin with a quick anecdote about how TradFi doesn't want you to win, then move on to our overall feeling about the festivities and events. We talk about what Ape Fest did well, the beautiful setting Azuki put on, Doodles interesting approach to the future, and the Moonbirds event (which Rogue got rugged on). Jumping off this, we discuss where we see the future of NFT projects going, and what full on NFT festivals will look like in the future.
