Binance hacked! 7000 BTC Stolen

Just announced, Binance was hacked today, 7000 BTC stolen, which is around $40 mil.Earlier today CZ tweeted:"Have to perform some unscheduled server maintenance that will impact deposits and withdrawals for a couple hours. No need to FUD. Funds are #safu."Then 5 hours later this security breach update was released:https://binance.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360028031711-Binance-Security-Breach-Update"We have discovered a large scale security breach today, May 7, 2019 at 17:15:24. Hackers were able to obtain a large number of user API keys, 2FA codes, and potentially other info. ...The hackers were able to withdraw 7000 BTC ...The above transaction is the only affected transaction. It impacted our BTC hot wallet only (which contained about 2% of our total BTC holdings). All of our other wallets are secure and unharmed."Binance will cover these funds with their "SAFU fund" that was set up last year as a security measure for emergency situations like this.Withdrawals and deposits will be frozen for 1 week, but trading will continue. As a show of support, Justin Sun has offered 7000BTC in USDT to cover Binance if needed, but it seems like the SAFU fund has things in hand. Will update you with more details as they become available! To watch the video version of the segment, visit:https://youtu.be/VsihQAQCq1QSupport the show

Former Bitcoin Skeptic Uses Crypto for the First Time!

Today I took my friend Tyler to the Bitcoin Banke (not to be confused with a regular bank, this one is much better) in New Hampshire, and the lovely people there gave him his first BCH! I took him to a patisserie where he made his first purchase, and he was blown away. Suffice to say, Tyler is a convert, and no longer a crypto skeptic :)Thanks Anypay.global for the crypto and the awesome afternoon! To watch the video version of this segment, visit https://youtu.be/1KrbkN3L9iISupport the show

The Secret to Crypto Recruitment

Teaching people about Bitcoin can be really difficult, as the founders of the University of Louisville Blockchain Club have found. I visited their campus in Kentucky and we discussed how many students there are hesitant to get involved with Bitcoin, and why. But they discovered a pretty great marketing tactic that has helped them reach out to more people. Thanks for chatting with me, Tucker and Brandon!UofL Blockchain twitter: https://twitter.com/BlockchainUofLTo watch the video version of this segment, visit: https://youtu.be/xDLUCpxMA6USupport the show
